Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 is the second installment in the murder mystery anthology inspired by the novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. The first season centered around nine strangers in a wellness center called the Tranquillum House in Cabrillo, California, founded by Nicole Kidman's Masha Dmitrichenko, a Russian wellness guru. As she tries to heal and transform the nine strangers, they're plunged into an enigmatic journey.
The second season, instead of taking the guests from the first season, moves the Nicole Kidman-led group with nine new perfect strangers to a new wellness resort, this time in the Swiss Alps.
Here's where the murder mystery Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 was filmed.
Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2: Filming Location for the second installment of the anthology drama
Nine Perfect Strangers, in its second installment, takes the Nicole Kidman-led cast ensemble to a wellness resort in the Austrian Alps. Nicole Kidman is joined by Henry Golding (Peter), Annie Murphy (Imogen), Murray Bartlett (Brian), Mark Strong (David), Dolly de Leon (Agnes), Christine Baranski (Victoria), King Princess (Tina), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Wolfie), and Lena Olin (Helena).

The star-studded ensemble with the beautiful backdrop of the Austrian Alps makes for extremely enigmatic visuals. In a conversation with Vanity Fair, Kidman talked about the filming locations:
"You put them in the snow because it’s almost like you can’t escape, but it’s still very beautiful. It’s not sort of that gray, cold, bleak environment. It’s still very alluring."
Salzburg, Austria
This is one of the primary filming locations for Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2, as it was used for a lot of establishing shots, many scenes, as well as multiple outdoor shots. Schloss Blühnbach's exterior, a 17th-century home in Werfen with a mystical charm, was used as a double for Masha's resort. A national historic monument and a privately owned hotel, Schloss Leopoldskron, also served as a filming location for the show.
Gmunden and Vienna, Austria
Another location in Austria that served as a filming location as well as the crew's resort in the small town of Hallstatt was Gmunden. Many scenes of Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 were also shot in the capital of Austria, Vienna. Regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vienna had much to offer as a backdrop for the show.
Bavaria, Germany
The majority of the outdoor scenes were filmed in the above-mentioned locations, but for the indoor scenes, Penzing Studios, Penzing, Bavaria, was used. The studio offered 40,000 square meters of production space, along with 270 hectares of backlot space. It offered five stages, Green screen, as well as LED screens and a monastery, a church, a hospital, a power plant, a casino, and a 2.5 km runway in its backlot space. Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 had everything they needed in the beautiful space for production.
All the filming locations for Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2, be it the beautiful and calming scenery of Austria or the incredibly useful indoor setting of the Penzing Studios, came together to deliver the most mesmerizing visuals for the show.
