Netflix is gearing up for the release of Bridgerton Season 4: Part 1 this January.

Ahead of its premiere, Netflix and Shondaland surprised the fans with the Season 4 trailer. However, it left a faction of fans quite disappointed over their missing favourites from the season's trailer. Yes, you've guessed it right! It's the Kanthony fans.

Fans took to social media to express their disappointment about their missing favourites. In the comments section of the recently released trailer, one fan wrote,

The trailer features several familiar faces from the Bridgerton family, but notably, the Viscount and the Viscountess are absent.

For those unaware, Bridgerton Season 4 is set to release in 2 parts. Part 1 will release on January 29. The upcoming season will be based on Benedict's Cinderella-coded love story with the mysterious Lady in Silver, Sophie Baek, a young maid who manages to sneak into the celebrations. The trailer gives a sneak peek into this beautiful love story and more. We get a glimpse of Queen Charlotte, Lady Danbury, Penelope, Violet, Lord Marcus, Eloise, Francesca, John, Colin, even the little Lord Featherington, and a bunch of new characters, too!

In Season 3, pregnant Kate and Anthony leave for India while Eloise, Francesca, and John move to Scotland. While Penelope and Colin have a baby boy (the next Lord Featherington), her sisters give birth to daughters. While everyone expected that the Viscount and the Viscountess would be back for Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1, it looks like Kanthony fans have to wait a little longer. Here's more about it.

Fans furious over their missing favourites in Bridgerton Season 4 trailer

Moments after the Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 trailer was released, fans took to social media to express their views on the upcoming season. While most fans shared their excitement, some were concerned about Kate and Anthony missing from the trailer.

Bridgerton Season 2 introduced Kate Sharma, who came from India with her sister, Edwina, and her mother to seek a suitable match for her sister. However, fate brought the eldest Bridergton sibling, Anthony, and Kate closer, and they eventually fell in love. By the end of Season 2, after several ups and downs, they finally got hitched.

In Season 3, the story shifted to Penelope and Colin, yet the viscount and the viscountess played a pivotal role. Soon, we learn that Kate was expecting, and she wanted her soon-to-be child and husband to see India. In the closing moments, we saw them leave for India.

However, Kanthony fans were expecting a glimpse of them in the Bridgerton Season 4 trailer, and when it didn't happen, they shared their concerns in the comments section of the trailer.

Will Kate and Anthony be there in Bridgerton Season 4?

Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 is set to drop on January 29, 2026, while Part 2 will arrive on February 26, 2026. Despite their absence in the trailer, Kate and Anthony will return for Season 4. Their screentime might be significantly reduced, though. In a candid chat with Screen Rant, Simone Ashley noted:

"It's been wonderful. We filmed a couple of times now, and I'm just so excited for the world to see what Yerin and Luke have been up to. Every time I come back, I get to see little glimpses of everything they're upto and I'm excited for everyone to see the glimpse of Kate and Anthony's journey carrying on together."
