Boyd Holbrook’s role in The Morning Show

Boyd Holbrook makes his first appearance as Brodie in The Morning Show, Season 4 Episode 4, My Roman Empire. He plays a conservative podcaster who is pretty unhinged. Though he has some questionable opinions, he is not afraid to put them out. This has earned him a following of 50 million listeners.

At the same time, he has visible chemistry with Jennifer Aniston’s Alex, which becomes another highlight of the season. Boyd talked about his character in an interview with WWD and revealed that Brodie is a representation of modern-day podcasters:

“The show reflects reality in a big way. You’re seeing all these breakaway podcasters do their thing and there’s a real audience for this, and I’ve got my favorites too. And I love learning about all these random detail jobs and what people do for a living.”

The actor also revealed how he felt when he got the call to join The Morning Show Season 4 and said:

“I got a call out of the blue, and they’re usually the best calls. I don’t know what I did in the past life to get that. It came in and I just took a second to sit with it.”

The Morning Show is streaming now on Apple TV.
