John Henson hosts the show with his acting, writing, hosting and producing credits. As his official Food Network bio describes, he is a "veteran" of the television industry, who began as a stand-up comedian. Along with him, Carla Hall, Zac Young, and Stephanie Boswell are also featured as the judges.

The official synopsis for the show continues:

"The best keep moving through rounds as the tasks and challenges become more complicated. The champion of the "Main Heat" gets a $25,000 prize and the prestige of being declared winner of the season's creepiest cooking contest."

Halloween Baking Championship Season 11 premiered with ten contestants. Each of them have a distinct background with baking and additional skills. Cory Jones is a cookie connoisseus from Georgia wile Alan Arras is a pastry sous chef.

The show also features a self-taught cake artist, Gonzuela Bastarache from Canada. Another self taught baker is Melanie Bjork-Jensen. Justin Giordano is a sugarflower and a cake artist from New York City.

Megan Carroll, a recipe developer and a food photographer hails from Minnesota. A freelance pastry chef, Jake Hagen from California is also a participant. Fans might know him from Silos Baking Championship.

Another pastry chef and chocolatier Oksana Schelgachova along with Camille Le Caer, and Nina Charles, a cake artist are also featured on the Food Network show.
