Which Young Sheldon star does the cast of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage want to appear in Season 2?

The cast of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, a spin-off of Young Sheldon (which itself is a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory), recently talked about who they'd love to see as guest stars from their mothership series.

One of the great things about Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage is that even though the show has a built-in roster of characters from Young Sheldon, the creators put in a lot of effort into making sure that the show does not come off as another season of Young Sheldon. So, characters from Young Sheldon only work towards making it even more unique and entertaining, rather than feeling like another episode of Young Sheldon.

Recently, Rachel Bay Jones and Will Sasso, who play Audrey and Jim on the show, talked about which of the Young Sheldon stars they'd like to see as guest stars on the show.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage Stars reveal who they'd like to see as a guest star from Young Sheldon

In a recent conversation with TV Insider, Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones, who play Mandy's parents on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, revealed which of the Young Sheldon stars they'd like to see as guest stars.

Zoe Perry, who plays Mary Cooper, as well as Annie Potts, Sheldon's Meemaw, have already made their debut on the show. Rachel Bay Jones revealed that she's having a great time working with Zoe Perry and Annie Potts:

"I’m having a really good time with Zoe Perry, who plays Mary. That’s been really enriching. [The writers] are really enjoying writing our feud together. We had a really good time working with Annie Potts [Meemaw] who is one of my best friends."

So, Rachel would love to see more of Mary and Meemaw on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Rachel also revealed that they've enjoyed Lance Barber's appearance on the show as the spirit of Georgie's dad, so it would be great if more of that could continue on the show.

"Also, I think the more we can get Lance Barber in there as [the spirit of] Georgie’s dad, in some kind of fashion, the better."

Raegan Revord, who plays Missy; Craig T. Nelson, who plays Dale Ballard (Meemaw's boyfriend); and Matt Hobby, who plays Pastor Jeff, have already appeared as guest stars on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.

Additionally, Sasso revealed that he would really enjoy it if Wallace Shawn made another guest appearance on the show. Wallace played Professor John Sturgis, Sheldon's university professor, as well as Meemaw's ex-boyfriend, on Young Sheldon. Jessie Prez, who plays Rueben on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, also said that they'd love to see Reba McEntire back as June Ballard (June played Dale's ex-wife on Young Sheldon).

"I would love to see Reba [back as June Ballard]."

To which Sasso agreed wholeheartedly, saying:

"Reba! Bring back Reba!"

It appears that there is a lot of love between the stars of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage and Young Sheldon. The show airs new episodes on Thursdays at CBS at 8/7c, so tune in to see more of these guest stars on the show.
