Who is Brady in And Just Like That? Character explored in depth

Created by Darren Star, And Just Like That is the revival and sequel to the famous Sex and the City series, which was based on Candace Bushnell’s newspaper column and a 1996 book anthology of the same name.

Developed by Michael Patrick King, the show brings back the iconic characters of Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York Goldenblatt. Featuring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, the show has three seasons and aired from 2021 to 2025.

The show carries forward with many of the storylines that it established in Sex and the City and has several important characters from the previous series, making an appearance in And Just Like That. One of them is Brady, the son of Miranda Hobbes and Steve Brady, and while he was a child in Sex and the City, he is now a teen in And Just Like That.

Who is Brady in And Just Like That?

Played by Niall Cunningham, Brady Hobbes is the son of Miranda and Steve and lives with his parents in Brooklyn. However, when Steve and Miranda separate, Brady continues to live with his dad. The character of Brady is shown to be sensitive like his father Steve, but he also has a loud and headstrong side like his mother Miranda, and also has a high s*x drive.

Some of his appearances in the show focus on his relationships with girls, and in one of the episodes, he calls his mother and admits that his girlfriend dumped him. Miranda, therefore, rushes home to New York and consoles him. In season 2 of And Just Like That, Brady also secretly dates Lily Goldenblatt, who is Charlotte and Harry’s daughter. He also attends an event at the Goldenblatt’s to see Lily.

Finally, in season 3 of the show, Brady joins Steve and Miranda at her mother’s new apartment and even makes a meal for them. He then reveals that he wants to go to a culinary school and also reveals that he got a girl pregnant. While Steve is annoyed, Miranda tries to find out about the girl who got pregnant finds out that she is not his girlfriend, but was just someone he was seeing casually.

Interestingly, Steve asks about who will look after the baby, and Brady shrugs it off, which causes even more frustration for Steve. As a father, he is tense about his son’s future, who was beginning to find a path for himself, but has now gotten someone pregnant.

When Brady makes a reference to how Miranda and Steve had separated when Brady was born, Steve gets even more verbally abusive towards his son, and Brady leaves the room.

Who plays the mother of Brady’s child’s in And Just Like That?

Interestingly, Brady gets a girl pregnant, who is called Mia. She was casually hooking up with Brady and has now decided to keep the baby. Mia is played by Ella Stiller, who is the daughter of Ben Stiller.

When Miranda goes to the hair salon where Mia works, the two end up having an altercation as Miranda does not initially reveal that she is Brady’s mother. The whole scene is hilarious as Mia decides to keep the child only because the baby would be a Libra.
