Motorheads, the new drama series released on Prime Video on May 20, 2025, focuses on a group of teenagers brought together by their shared love of racecars and building them. The show’s logline, according to Prime Video, reads:

Motorheads is about first love, first heartbreak, and turning the key in your first car. Set in a once-thriving rust-belt town that’s now searching for a glimmer of hope, the series is an adrenaline-filled story of a group of outsiders who form an unlikely friendship over a mutual love of street racing, while navigating the hierarchy and rules of high school.

Caitlyn (played by Melissa Collazo), one of the show’s protagonists, arrives in Ironwood, Pennsylvania, with her mother and twin brother. She has a cute yet complicated dynamic with Curtis (Uriah Shelton) in Season 1.

While there’s strong romantic tension between them, the two don’t officially get together. Curtis helps Caitlyn fix up her father’s car, and they become close friends. They share a kiss at the end of the season, after Caitlyn admits her feelings—but they don’t end up together.

Who does Motorheads' Caitlyn end up with?

Like Logan, Curtis, and Zac, Caitlyn is passionate about cars. She also tries to connect with her father (who went missing years ago) by fixing his old car. Although Christian Maddox doesn’t appear in the current timeline, his absence is felt throughout the season, especially in how much he’s missed by his loved ones.

Caitlyn and Curtis bond while fixing Christian’s old car. Their mutual feelings are clear, but they don’t voice them. At the end of Motorheads season one, Caitlyn finally admits her feelings for him, and the pair kiss. But all is not well yet.

Curtis reveals that his father was responsible for Christian's disappearance. He decides to tell Caitlyn the truth before they make any serious decisions, like choosing to date each other. This revelation understandably puts a halt to any plans Caitlyn had for taking their relationship further. We do not know if the pair will date or remain friends until season two comes out.

Thus, Caitlyn does not end up with Curtis. In fact, she does not end up with anyone, which is perhaps a refreshing ending for a teen drama series. While love and relationships are important themes in the show, they do not always take the front seat. Sometimes, like in Motorheads season one’s ending, the story focuses on family and introspection.

We know how important Caitlyn’s father is to her. Now that she knows Curtis’ father was involved, being with Curtis would be emotionally complicated for Caitlyn. Curtis, too, would most likely struggle internally if they started dating, as he knows how badly his father’s actions have affected Caitlyn and her family.

Caitlyn does have another admirer, who might be in focus in season two. Kiara, who gives Caitlyn a tour of the school when she first arrives in Ironwood, breaks up with her boyfriend Noah towards the end of the first season, and we get the confirmation that she likes Caitlyn. However, she also sees Caitlyn and Curtis kiss at the end of season one. Thus, how she will proceed with her feelings next season is yet to be known.
