Who is Claire Ivey in The Rookie? Character explored in depth

The Rookie has featured many guest stars as serial killers, who have one-episode arcs on the procedural. While the LAPD team is highly competent, the criminals featured are even more dangerous and cunning, which makes the procedural enjoyable and intense.

One such dangerous serial robber, Claire Ivey, was the main antagonist in The Rookie Season 4 Episode 2. She was a serial robber and a memorable character due to her overconfident nature and because she made fun of Nolan and his team for their incompetence.

While she was planning her next big heist, Nolan and his team successfully arrested Claire, proving their efficiency and teamwork.

Actress Tricia Helfer played the role of Claire in the procedural. She is most famously known for Lucifer, The Firm, Van Helsing, and Powers.

Claire Ivey was an overconfident serial robber in The Rookie Season 4

The Rookie has featured many murderers and criminals, but Claire Ivey managed to leave an impression through just one episode. She was the main antagonist in Season 4, Episode 2 Five Minutes.

Her first interaction was with Nolan and Lucy, who gave her a speeding ticket. However, when the duo investigated Claire with Sgt. Wade Grey, they learnt that she is a serial robber and a professional thief who had performed several heists in the past five years.

In addition, Angela has been trying to arrest her for many years now, but Claire always seems to be one step ahead of the LAPD.

Since the town was planning for a big Getty Gala, a celebrity-studded event, Claire was asked to leave. However, she was very boastful about the whole situation and even teased Nolan and Lucy that she was planning a big heist and would escape the police one more time.

While Nolan was not interfering with Claire's case, her boastful and overconfident personality in The Rookie drove him to the edge, and he started monitoring her.

Nolan was on surveillance with Bailey, but Claire was always one step ahead of them. She later fled the scene on a bike, while the police were keeping an eye on her car, proving that her big words were not hollow after all.

Things took a wild turn in The Rookie for Claire when the LAPD realised that Claire might be planning her next heist at the Getty Gala and that she might have also murdered the celebrity stylist Michaela Faris, whose body was found at the beginning of the episode.

As it turns out, Claire was the actual mastermind, as she was planning to steal the jewels at the Gala. But since she needed the celebrities' schedule for her plan to work, she entered Michaela's house and murdered her.

Her plan to rob the armored truck carrying the jewels with her crew was neutralised by a newly appointed Sergeant Tim, who successfully stopped Claire's heist in The Rookie.

Later, while Claire was again trying to flee the scene, Nolan shot her in the shoulder and arrested her for planning a heist and murdering Michaela.
