The second season of Fubar once again saw Arnold Schwarzenegger springing into action as Luke Brunner to save the world from peril. On the sophomore season of Fubar, several exhilarating revelations were made, but the most shocking one was that of the true identity of Dante Cress.

As it turned out, Dante Cress was literally hiding in plain sight from Brunner and the rest of his team, and by the time of his discovery, Cress had entrenched himself so much into the team that his betrayal came across as a cause for grief—especially for Emma.

Here's everything that you need to know.

Dante Cress duped everyone including Brunner on Fubar season 2

The finale of the second season of Fubar on Netflix saw Brunner, Emma, and the others scrambling all their prowess. Their mission was to stop an American missile strike against Russia that threatened to incite a bloody war between the two countries. It is against the backdrop of this showdown that the true identity of Dante Cress is finally revealed.

Initially, Brunner and the others believe that Tina’s Russian handler is the elusive Cress. However, things soon spiral out of control as Theodore Chips himself comes out with the confession that he is the real Dante Cress.

Cress, or Chips, found his way into the team earlier, and his initial cover was that of a former British secret service agent who went rogue following the death of his father. He then associated himself with other mercenaries and worked for the sake of money, under Greta Nelso. Nevertheless, it was soon revealed on Fubar Season 2 that Chips was the real mastermind, and despite being hired by Nelso, it was he who had hired her. Nelso never saw Chips and only communicated with him through coded messages.

The real intention harbored by Chips was to wreak havoc on the nation’s power grids. He also wanted to get close to Luke through Nelso so that he could obtain the necessary codes from Luke to launch a nuclear missile against Russia and cause a global war. Although Chips could have stayed on the outskirts of the action and could have gotten Nelso to do his bidding, he himself jumped into the fire as he couldn’t trust the others.

Arnold Schwarzenegger speaks about Fubar season 2

Schwarzenegger recently spoke with UPI for an interview to mark the occasion of the Netflix show’s success, during which he stated:

"It was great to have the family back together again and it was great, also, to have Carrie-Anne (Moss) come in and be part of that family and we had a wonderful time in Fubar Season No. 2. The writers and the showrunners ramped up the action. They ramped up the comedy, the drama and all of that stuff. It's a fantastic job in a fantastic project to work on and to be up there in Canada and to work with such talented people has been a really great pleasure."

The show is available on Netflix.
