Detective Williams has been heavily involved this season in helping the trio unravel the murder of Lester and Nicky. The show has never been afraid of taking bigger swings each season, so maybe it is finally time for Detective Williams to die.

Mayor Tillman

Mayor Tillman, a fan of the podcast, was a flashy new addition to the cast of Only Murders in the Building Season 5, suggesting that the podcast was slowly but surely growing. But these signs of success were also countered with the introduction of Thé, who has achieved this success and looks down upon the trio's podcast. The death of the mayor in the Arconia, which the trio set out to investigate, could be the final push that the trio's podcast needs to blow up and go viral.

Going viral could turn out to be a problematic addition for the trio's sleuthing investigations. So, there is a possibility that Mayor Tillman could suffer the fate of Paul Rudd and die by the end of the season.

Referring to big swings, the killing of Meryl Streep's Loretta could be the biggest swing of them all for Only Murders in the Building Season 5. While it would be very cruel and might just be way too close to home, Loretta's return to Arconia because of a fire in her apartment might be a foreboding of something worse that is yet to happen.

However, Only Murders in the Building is a comedy, and Oliver's setting out to investigate his own wife's death could be too close to home for the podcasting trio and too sad for the show.

Richard Kind's Vince Fish

Richard Kind has returned to Only Murders in the Building Season 5, and we find him in the early stages of a romance with Jackie Hoffman's Uma Heller. The Season 5 finale might find an early and forced end to this romance with the death of one of the two residents of Arconia (or both of them).
