FUBAR tells the story of a CIA operative, Luke Brunner, who is about to retire from duty. During this time, he finds out a secret about his family and decides to spy one last time to reach the truth.
Farkas, played by Mark Robert Edwards, is a CIA accountant who is trusted with tracking financial transactions linked to operations and espionage activities. The character is a part of Luke Brunner’s team. The team is after Dante Cress, who was a former MI6 agent.

Who is Farkas in FUBAR?
In Episode 5 of FUBAR Season 1, Farkas comes to light when Tina, Luke's daughter, flags him for taking money from Moscow-linked sources. She claims that Farkas has compromised funding to adversaries. Luke initially doubts it, but then plots a plan to discover the truth. Season 2 derails from the truth, showcasing Farkas as corrupt to distract from the actual mole. This keeps the tension escalating in the show.
Eventually, as the nuclear crisis unfolds, Farkas remains deeply involved, not in shady operations, but as a key financial tracker ensuring the team can trace payments to Nonna, Volek, and ultimately decode Cress’s money trail.
Dante Cress is the most mysterious villain shown in FUBAR, always 10 steps ahead with complete information about the intelligence plans. Cress is a master at putting someone in the wrong direction. He can impersonate identities and manipulate systems. He can infiltrate an organization without being detected.
Luke is then able to trust Farkas and his expertise in the work he does, which helps expose the real threat and locate Cress as pivotal plot pieces click into place. Theodore "Chips" is finally revealed to be Dante Cress, the CIA's most dangerous adversary, who was right under their noses all this time.
Cress's goal was catastrophic, aiming to trigger a nuclear Armageddon and not just economic disruption. He uses Farkas as the misdirection this time. The team, including Luke, starts to see Farkas as someone who is corrupt.
Throughout the season, Luke’s team wrongly suspects others, like Volek and Nonna, of being Cress or directly linked to him. Farkas tries to trace Cress's transactions and unveils that the real enemy is Chips just before it is too late.
