The Season 3 finale of Perfect Match brought the competition to a close with five couples remaining in the villa after weeks of compatibility tests, strategic matchups, and unexpected exits. The final five couples were Sandy Gallagher and Louis Russell, Amber “AD” Smith and Ollie Sutherland, Lucy Syed and Daniel Perfetto, Madison Errichiello and Freddie Powell, and Rachel Recchia and Ray Gantt.
The finale, released on Netflix on August 15, 2025, saw these pairs face their last challenges before one couple was crowned the winners. From final romantic dates to revisiting earlier confrontations, the closing episode decided who would win the Perfect Match title and the all-expenses-paid vacation prize.
Inside the Perfect Match Season 3 finale: Key moments and surprises
The finale began with an unexpected departure when Scott van-der-Sluis, who was previously matched with Rachel Recchia before pairing with Juliette Porter, left the villa. His exit followed Porter’s conversation with Carrington Rodriguez, in which she said she and van-der-Sluis were not a match. This departure set the stage for the final compatibility challenge between the remaining couples.
In the challenge, the five couples answered questions about their partners and their journey in Perfect Match. Host Nick Lachey led the “Match Point” test, covering topics such as first kiss locations and significant moments in their relationships.
The two highest-scoring pairs, Lucy Syed with Daniel Perfetto and AD Smith with Ollie Sutherland, advanced to the final voting round. Lucy, speaking to Tudum on August 15, 2025, said she was surprised by the win.
“I genuinely wasn’t expecting it to be us. I really thought it was going to be Ollie and AD,” she explained.
She noted that the surprise was not due to doubts about her connection with Daniel but because AD and Ollie were already engaged and expecting a child by that point.
“I didn’t feel like we were at that stage yet, but I was like, ‘hopefully we get there,’” Lucy said.
AD, in contrast, told Tudum she was not surprised by the outcome. She mentioned that after hearing from other participants before the vote, she “knew there was some fishy stuff happening.” During the same finale episode, Justine questioned Ollie about the extent of his previous match with her in Episode 6. Ollie responded,
“I’ve got zero excuses,” before adding, “I could do this again ten times over and I’d pick her ten times over.”
In the finale, Lucy reflected on a past challenge in their relationship, saying the process tested her openness after learning at the mixer about Daniel’s kiss with someone else. She admitted the revelation was difficult to process and noted a perceived double standard, believing the house would have been in turmoil if the situation were reversed. Daniel, however, affirmed in the finale that Lucy was “definitely my perfect match.”
Ollie, also speaking during the August 15 episode, reflected on his connection with AD after reuniting with her following her brief elimination earlier in the season.
“It did give me perspective [and] it did make me realize that AD is just perfect for me,” he said. “Me and AD click on that many more levels that I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else. I genuinely mean that. I wouldn’t wanna be sat here with anyone else.”
When the time came for the final decision, the single Perfect Match cast members entered the boardroom one by one to vote for the winning couple. Louis Russell was seen using a round of “eenie meanie” to make his choice.
In the end, Lucy Syed and Daniel Perfetto received the most votes and were crowned the winners of Perfect Match Season 3, earning an all-expenses-paid week-long vacation. The couple planned to travel to Fiji following their victory.
