Moncho’s death in The Accident

It cannot be denied that The Accident perfectly maintained the mystery about the killing of Moncho till the very end of the series. At the end of the series, it is revealed that Lupita hired Eulogio to get revenge for the death of her son by killing Moncho. As Moncho was given the task of tying the bouncy castle to the ground at the birthday party, he became the target.

He began to get blamed for the accident. At the birthday party, while the kids were playing at the bouncy castle, a strong gust of wind began to sway the bouncy castle. The parents were busy having their own conversations. Emiliano and his group were busy with the call. This call was extremely important to them as it involved the project that they eagerly wanted to succeed.

The bouncy castle began to sway because of the strong winds. This caused the kids to panic. Right then, the bouncy castle lifted off the ground with the kids inside. In the end, Charro and Lupita’s son was also killed in the incident. The death of the children completely transformed the happy moment into a devastating one.

The death of her son completely shattered Lupita’s heart. She was unable to cope with the loss. She began to blame Moncho, after which she decided to get revenge on him for his actions. Charro was also supportive of Lupita’s desires. Hence, he decided to kill Moncho. However, Charro’s plan did not succeed. Things took a different turn, as now Lupita decided to take matters into her own hands.

She hired an assassin, Eulogio, to end Moncho’s life so that she could finally get revenge for the death of her beloved son. After Moncho was arrested and Charro’s plan to kill him failed, Eulogio visited Moncho. He pretended to be Moncho’s lawyer. Inside the cell, Eulogio speaks in a comforting manner to Moncho. Eulogio then gives him food. The food he gives him is laced with poison. Right after he eats the food, he ends up dead.

Emiliano is completely shattered after he finds Moncho dead. He tries to wake him up as his guilt begins to eat him up. As The Accident progresses, it is revealed that it was not Moncho’s fault that the bouncy castle flew off. It was actually Emiliano’s task to tie the bouncy castle to the ground. While Moncho was first tying the castle, Emiliano gave him the order to fetch ice, telling him that he would complete the task.

However, before he was able to finish the task properly, he got the call. Excited to know whether they were able to get the deal, Emiliano ran off to attend the call without properly securing the bouncy castle to the ground. This eventually caused the dangerous accident, killing the children and even killing an innocent man in the process.
