Kevin's unexpected rise has now made him a top contender, but the future isn't so simple as it seems to be.

Will he hold the crown, or will rivals like Maeve, Eddie, or Kat McCallister seize control from the shadows?

Here's a look at who really might be in the running to lead the Harrigans in MobLand Season 2:

Kevin Harrigan’s rise to power and potential cracks ahead

The finale episode of MobLand Season 1 drew a clear line in the sand: Conrad and Maeve were behind bars, Richie Stevenson was dead, and Kevin was no longer the overlooked son.

In a deeply personal moment, Kevin opened up to the body of the prison guard who had abused him, saying he was "the biggest monster" and would show everyone what that meant. His evolution wasn't just symbolic; it cemented his readiness to take over.

While all of this happened, Kevin wasn't just all alone. He formed a quiet team-up with Harry, his friend from juvenile prison. Harry rejected Kat McCallister's offer, by in Kat's own understanding Harry meant to say "go f*ck herself."

Eventually, Harry makes a call over allegiance rather than gaining an opportunity. As Harry boldly says;

"Thank you...but no thank you. I work for the Harrigans"

Together, Kevin and Harry coordinated Richie's downfall, highlighting a change from survival to dominance. But MobLand doesn't bring in clear-cut and straightforward victories. While Kevin may have stepped into Conrad's shoes, his leadership towards the Harrigans is not yet guaranteed for Season 2.

The same strength that helped him claim the top spot could spiral into paranoia or obsession. Power rarely comes without a price, and Kevin's claim to the Harrigan name may yet be tested from within and beyond.

Hidden players & dangerous ambitions for MobLand Season 2

Behind the walls of prison, Conrad hasn't accepted defeat. Rumblings of escape plans hint that his grip on the family isn't entirely broken. Maeve, on the other hand, has different strategies. She's seen grooming Eddie as her successor, positioning him as her king-in-waiting.

Their bond is complicated, especially since Eddie recently discovered Conrad is his real father, and tried to kill Maeve before vanishing. His return feels inevitable.

Maeve's quiet manipulations suggest she might never need the title to wield power. She's cunning, and if not leading from the front, she could very well be steering things from the shadows. As Harry and Kevin look to rebuild, Maeve and Eddie may become their greatest challenge.

Then there's Kat McCallister. Though not a Harrigan by blood, her influence runs deeper than either family. She may have been rejected by Harry, but her presence in MobLand is growing stronger.

With Richie gone, Kat has both motive and muscle to tip the balance. Her ambitions stretch far beyond Harrigan turf, and if chaos persists, she could take control of what's left behind.

Even Seraphina, one of the most intelligent Harrigan children, might make her move. Her independence from the family's operations has made her less obvious, but also less trusted. Her near-death experience may keep others at arm's length, but she's still a quiet contender.

In MobLand Season 2, leadership of the Harrigan empire won't be determined by bloodline alone.

Kevin may have the crown for now, but with Maeve scheming, Conrad planning, and Kat looming, the throne is far from safe.

Everyone wants a piece of the power, and the real fight is just beginning.
