Spring Baking Championship Season 11 premiered on March 10, 2025, with 13 bakers. While most seasons feature 12 bakers, the currently running season has 13 bakers, including Priya Winsor.
Originally from Newfoundland, Priya's family settled in St. Albert. It was after the Fort McMurray wildfire. The baker obtained her Bakery and Pastry Arts Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Priya's official Food Network bio describes her as a Pastry Chef and chocolatier:
"The mom, pastry chef and chocolatier says, "Chocolate is definitely my jam." Her chocolate business in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, focuses on handcrafted sweets like bonbons, bars and confections."
Spring Baking Championship Season 11: Priya's journey on the show, and more
After her work was recognized by the Food Network show, Priya was approached regarding participation. However, she felt it was a prank. Still, she moved forward with it. Initially, she spent a month in Los Angeles competing against fellow bakers. While she was there for the filming, her husband was at home, looking after their teenage kids.
After arriving on set, Priya Winsor mentioned, it was "incredible." There were fog machines and everything. Even after returning home after the filming was completed, she hasn't revealed much about it, following the show's policy.
Sharing about the Spring Baking Championship premiere, she mentioned there was a flower-themed desert challenge.
Bakers were given two hours time duration to make a desert that represents their personalities.
"One of the spring flowers I loved the most was cherry blossoms," said Priya to the St. Albert Gazette on March 5, 2025.
Talking more about her experience on the Food Network show, Priya mentioned it was definitely a "stretching" experience.
"It puts your creativity and your time management to the test, because the clock is always ticking," she added.
Since she returned home after the competition's filming was finished, Priya has not shared anything with anyone, about how it ends. It includes her husband and her kids.
Priya Winsor on Spring Baking Championship Season 11
Priya Winsor has become a household name among fans since her participation on the baking show. She is a pastry chef and a chocolatier. Back home, Priya runs her handmade chocolate business, Compass Chocolates.
Priya's journey on the Spring Baking Championship has been an interesting one. It started with the first episode, where she won the Pre-heat challenge. For that, she baked a black forest cake with a cherry mouse and topped it with a chocolate tree.
While bakers were paired with fellow participants, Priya, paired with Kareem, came up with a lemon poppy seed chiffon. With that, they made blackberry jam and lavender buttercream. Even though she and Kareem worked hard, their prepared deserts failed to impress the judges.
Priya's faux egg earned her praise from the judges, during the show's fourth episode. The most recent, Spring Baking Championship Season 11 Episode 6 featured a minor setback for Priya. It happened after her tiramisu received negative feedback from the judges.
After she was in the bottom two bakers, fellow baker Julian's elimination saved her from going home. As of now Priya is one of the four finalists on the show. It includes Raveena, Mary-Frances, Lisa, and Priya.
