Rachel Recchia graduated from Ohio University’s Fritz J. and Delores H. Russ College of Engineering and Technology in December 2021, where she studied aviation. During her time at the university, she was a cheerleader and a member of the Chi Omega sorority.

Originally from Chicago, Recchia moved to Clermont, Florida, as a teenager and now lives in Los Angeles. She works as a commercial pilot and flight instructor, often sharing photos from the cockpit and her travels on Instagram, where she goes by @pilot.rachel. Her account has around 620,000 followers.

Recchia first appeared on reality TV during season 26 of The Bachelor, reaching the final three before Clayton Echard ended their relationship. She later co-starred in season 19 of The Bachelorette, where she got engaged to Tino Franco.

Their engagement ended after Franco admitted to cheating. Recchia also joined season 9 of Bachelor in Paradise but left in week four. In season 3, Recchia has already been paired with Clayton Echard and Scott van-der-Sluis from Love Island UK, and has gone on a date with Freddie Powell from Love Is Blind UK.

Recchia frequently updates her Instagram with moments from Perfect Match. On July 17, she posted promotional tour photos captioned “outtakes” and earlier teased her first day in the villa with the caption,

Rachel Recchia says some Perfect Match couples rekindled at the Netflix summer break event

In an appearance on the Viall Files podcast on Aug. 5, Recchia spoke about what happened after filming season 3, revealing that some couples “got back together” at Netflix’s Summer Break press event.

“There’s a lot still going on, like, even just from that Netflix [Summer Break] event,” she told host Nick Viall. “There’s a lot happening. Oh, my God, there might have been more drama at that Netflix event [than on the show]. There’s still stuff going on, [even though] filming was a year ago.”

Recchia confirmed there were many conflicts and reconciliations among cast members but chose not to reveal names. When asked if she had rekindled a romance from Perfect Match, she hinted it wasn’t with Freddie but left the possibility open, saying she might be talking to someone.

She admitted she has a soft spot for giving multiple chances and hinted that a Love Island cast member was part of one of the post-show relationships, teasing that there were three possible men but not specifying which one.
