Reacher Season 3 introduces a new villain, Paulie, played by Olivier Richters, nicknamed 'The Dutch Giant'. Alongside Alan Ritchson, who made the character of Jack Reacher famous, Maria Sten played Frances Neagley, Serinda Swan played Karla Dixon, and Shaun Sipos played David O'Donnell.
After two successful seasons, Reacher, based on Lee Child's book Persuader, is preparing for its third season and the star-studded ensemble has everyone excited. Recently, Prime Video announced a new addition to the official Reacher Instagram account, with Richters replacing Reacher's name with "Paulie" on a trailer door. The caption reads.
"REACHER isn't going to like that. [The Dutch Giant] has arrived at Season 3."
Who portrays Paulie in Reacher Season 3?
Paulie’s character will be played by Olivier Richters in Reacher Season 3, the actor who played Black Widow. The bearded newcomer will be over 7ft tall. While the real-life actor who plays Jack Reacher is tall and strapping, at least 6'3", this may make him appear relatively smaller in comparison to Richter's figure.
In Reacher Season 3, Paulie is not only as tall as the original villain from Lee Child's book but almost a foot taller than the series' Jack Reacher. In the first two seasons, Alan Ritchson's character towered over everyone else, so, interestingly, a character in season 3 makes him look relatively small.
Olivier Richters is now one of the tallest in the world and already has an impressive filmography. In Black Widow, as Ursa Major, he arm-wrestles David Harbour's Red Guardian in a prison scene.
Everything to know about Paulie’s character in Persuader novel before Reacher Season 3 is released
Paul "Paulie" Masserella is one of the characters in Lee Child's novel Persuader. Although Paulie will not play a major role in the story, his casting as an actor would be significant. According to Lee Child's description, Paulie is very muscular and on steroids, which changes his brain.
He is huge compared to Reacher, and his behavior is unpredictable because he is a drug addict. A fight scene between the two main characters, which can be a highlight of the series, is also included in the book.
Lee Child's Reacher series is quite popular on Amazon Prime Video and the action-packed storylines make it a must-watch. If all goes to plan, the show could keep viewers hooked for several seasons.
When will Reacher Season 3 be released?
The series on Amazon Prime Video caught the attention of viewers in its first two seasons, and it was no surprise to its ardent fans when it was renewed for a third.
The action drama based on Lee Child's books, starring Alan Ritchson as a big, wandering detective who travels from city to city with only the clothes on his back, is a fan favorite. Audiences loved it because it had a free spirit, Alan Ritchson's fighting skills, and a lot of humor.
Reacher Season 3 is in production and will be out by the beginning of the next year if all goes well.
