24 in 24: Last Chef Standing Season 2 Episodes 6 & 7, which were released on the Food Network on May 18, 2025, saw one chef go home. Others were also put on the chopping block, however, their fate is currently not known because the episodes ended on a cliffhanger.

The chef who went home on 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing was Gabe Bertaccini. He lost the round where his survival depended on winning. It was after the first two rounds that he went against Kevin and Bryan to make spicy street food.

However, his fried chicken sandwich was not up to the mark when compared to the spicy chicken wings by Bryan or Kprean carnitas tacos by Kevin. Kevin had won the round with Bryan in second place.

How did Gabe Bertaccini get eliminated on 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing?

The eventual build-up to his elimination started in the 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing sixth episode, which marked the beginning of that day's rounds. It was when the entire group of chefs was divided into two teams. Bryan was made the lead of his and he selected his opponent leader to be none other than Gabe.

The two were required to make a soup and sandwich dish with various culinary components to be introduced during the cooking process, such as mandatory items and equipment.

The captains had to start the round on 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing, and their team members would come to pick up the slack after every seven minutes. The winning team was to get $2400. The losing team, however, will have to compete amongst themselves and see who comes in the bottom two.

The chefs were required to pick a style of cooking that could be sour, nutty, or smoky. Both teams chose sour. The second requirement was a compulsory equipment, that is, preserved lemons, anchovies, or unsweetened baking chocolate.

They both picked anchovies. And for the equipment, the choices available were an ISI cannister, a spiralizer, or a vacuum sealer. Kevin chose the spiralizer while Kelsey was more of an ISI canister girl.

Gabe's team lost the round, which meant they would not have to go against each other. Steph and Nini teamed up against Gabe and Kevin. They had to make hors d'oeuvres in three different styles. The women's team won, leaving Kevin and Gabe with a risky footing on 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing.

As Bryan was a clear winner earlier, he was given the choice to pick a third contestant to compete against the two men. The third chef, if won, will get $10,000, a ticket to the finale, and the other contestants will be eliminated.

However, if he doesn't bag the first place, the person in third is going home. Bryan took it upon himself and entered into the challenge.

He got the second place, meaning none of the benefits will be given to him, with Kevin at first. Gabe, however, was in third place, meaning that his journey had ended at this point.
