Who will replace Kyle Ashman on Love Island UK season 12? 

Kyle Ashman was supposed to be on Love Island UK season 12 but was axed by the producers when they found out that he had been arrested. They did not take long to find and announce a replacement for the cast member from their lineup.

The show is about to premiere on ITV on June 9, 2025, and will feature cast members spending their time in the villa and finding matches. It is super important for the creators of Love Island UK to provide a safe space, away from any harm, for the islanders, and thus, they do not hesitate when it comes to removing a contestant from the venue.

It was only recently that American viewers saw Yulissa Escobar being evicted from the villa in the middle of the night, as soon as some of her podcast videos from the past resurfaced in which she can be seen using the n-word and being racist.

Now that Kyle Ashman is out of the picture (or is he? Read on to find out), Love Island UK has got a replacement. It is Connor Phillips, a professional rugby player. Connor is 25 years old right now. He hails from Ireland and will star on the show in episode 1. During his introduction video for the show, he said,

"I'm Connor and I'm from Limerick. I'm African-Irish and have light brown skin. I'm just under 6'1 and I have an athletic build."

Describing his fashion style, Connor explained that he is into wearing chill, laid-back clothes that are not too fancy or dressy. He feels that his best feature is his shoulders. Continuing, he said,

"I would describe my vibe as energetic, funny, good crack, but also, can be deel at times."

Will Kyle Ashman come back on Love Island UK Season 12?

He might. There is a chance, and the cast member even suggested the possibility of him returning as bombshells or just for the Casa Amor. However, nothing is confirmed officially by Love Island UK's producers.

After the lineup was announced on June 3, news broke out that one of the cast members had been arrested. It was Kyle. The incident took place at a funeral where he was allegedly involved in a fight, and media platforms reported the same.

Even though the police released him later without further action, the damage was already done. Kyle ended up losing his seat on Love Island UK. Taking to his Instagram, Kyle expressed in a video that he is an "innocent" person.

He said,

"Hello, everyone, I'm Kyle. I just came in here to say I'm sure you've seen the news circulating. I'm innocent. There was no further action. I'm not a bad guy. Honestly, I'm not a bad guy."

Love Island UK season 12 episodes will drop on ITV on June 9, 2025, at 9 PM. Later, the episodes will be available to stream online via ITVX. As for the American citizens, they will be able to watch the new season via Hulu as it drops on the platform from June 12, 2025.
