Invincible Season 4 will have one major missing character, and it's none other than Powerplex. Aaron Paul's character GDA scientist Scott Duvall, also known as Powerplex has been a major antagonist on the show across the last seasons. As the fourth season approaches, the actor has revealed that he won't be reprising his role on the show, and it's because of the villain's intense turmoil, which eventually ended up having an affect on him.

Speaking about his role on Invincible in an interview with Kinda Funny Gamescast, Paul said,

“They asked me to come back for the next season, and I love the series and I’m such a fan of it, but it’s way too gruelling on my psyche… Powerplex man..Powerplex isn’t just messing around, he’s going through turmoil, and how I approach everything, I really put myself in that skin. It was a skin I didn’t feel comfortable in to be honest. I didn’t want to do it anymore,”

He then added that his experience with the people on the show has been "amazing" but what Powerplex's character did to him was difficult, which is why Invincible Season 4 is not in his bag anymore.

"Everyone involved in the show is amazing, but what it did to me, I didn’t like. I couldn’t continue,”

Invincible fans are about to spend winter counting down the days, because season 4 is locked in for a March 2026 premiere on Prime Video. That means Mark Grayson, Atom Eve, Omni Man, and the rest of the crew are only a few months away from jumping back onto your screen. The new chapter has multiple villains lined up too, so Mark is not getting a break any time soon.

There is already one teaser out in the world. It opens at Burger Mart, which long time viewers will immediately recognise. The restaurant is wrecked, and Mark and Atom Eve sit in a booth talking about everything that happened in season 3. Eve wants to know why they are back there, and Mark says this is the place where he always announces his return. He jokes about fans complaining he never won fights before. The teaser ends with him promising that Invincible Season 4 is "nuts." If the past is any indication, expect a shorter teaser by late 2025 and a full trailer in early 2026.

Steven Yeun and J. K. Simmons return as Mark and Omni Man for Invincible Season 4. Sandra Oh and Christian Convery are expected back as Debbie and Oliver. Walton Goggins, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Clancy Brown, Bruce Campbell, Gillian Jacobs, and Seth Rogen are all set for major roles. Lee Pace joins as Thragg and Matthew Rhys appears as Dinosaurus, a dangerous new presence. Invincible continues to bring in major guest stars, so more names will likely drop right before the premiere.

All seasons of Invincible, including the upcoming fourth, stream exclusively on Prime Video.
