Why did AJ and Britney meet secretly on The Ultimatum: Queer Love during their trial marriage? 

AJ and Britney enterred on The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 2 on Netflix tigether in order to test gheir connection and find out if they really do match with each other.

Each of them entered into a trial marriage period with other partners in episode 2, even though AJ was in hot water for her decision and leading her connections on.

In episode 4 of The Ultimatum: Queer Love, it was seen that AJ and Britney had met secretly at night and came back before the sunrise. Even though this fact was acknowledged on the show, the reason behind the same was never revealed, and left viewers curious as to what it could be.

Now that the show has aired on Netflix and fans are questioning Britney over the decision, she revealed the cause behind the same during an interview with E! News. The star said,

"I was going through it, and I didn't know up from down, left from right. I felt like I was just losing all sense of reality and my actual life. I was about to get on the highway on the i-95 and take my ass right back to Orlando. I felt like I needed something to ground me."

Britney and AJ came on The Ultimatum: Queer Love together and thus, it was obvious that they had known each other in the real world and are very close. As Britney describes during the interview, she was in a "crisis mode" and would have left the experiment because of how she was feeling.

To ground herself in reality and feel better, Britney had called AJ for help, and the two decided to meet up. She said she would not have gone behind Marita's back, but this was an emergency for her.

Britney revealed that she and AJ had met two times before she was able to process her emotions about the same.

Revealing ehat happened during them meet-ups, she said,

"The first time that I saw [AJ], honestly, I was just angry. I was just letting out all the emotions that I've been holding in throughout dating week and not being able to see her... I was crying, I was yelling."

The second time the two met off camera on The Ultimatum: Queer Love, things had become a bit better. They both were supporting each other through the experience. Britney said,

"She just said, 'Lean on Marita.' She told me, 'I want you to. I know this isn't what you expected or mentally prepared for during dating week, but trust the process.'"

The trial marriage period lasts for three weeks on the show, and after meeting for the second time in secret, AJ and Britney had decided that they would now be fully committed to their partners during the phase, and this would be the last time that they would meet.
