Besides the constant toil and trouble that Wednesday faced in Wednesday season 2, Enid’s troubles were in no way less worrisome. In Wednesday Season 2, we see that Enid and Wednesday’s friendship gets tested. Wednesday has her own worries with the Hyde and her family’s complications, which often makes her overlook Enid’s troubles.
However, Enid, who very much wants to find love and be in a happy relationship, gets disheartening news from Professor Capri in this season. During a tumultuous moment, she transforms into her werewolf form without the full moon. Capri witnesses Enid’s transformation and gets worried. She then tells Enid that she might be an Alpha werewolf. However, being an Alpha is not good news. Let’s understand why.
Please be prepared for the spoiler ahead.
Enid’s involuntary transformation in Wednesday Season 2
Initially, Enid’s inability to wolf out like the other lycanthropes of Nevermore Academy became a source of great anxiety for her. At the end of the first season, we see that she finally transforms into her wolf form to save Wednesday from Tyler’s Hyde. This joyous transformation is marred by worries in Wednesday Season 2 when she transforms involuntarily without the full moon.

Now, if we look back, we would know that Enid first transformed into her werewolf form under the blood moon. Later in the second season, Capri informs Enid that the signs of her being an Alpha, such as being a late bloomer and transforming under the blood moon, are all indications of being an Alpha. Enid is completely taken aback on hearing Capri’s words.
She tells her that though Alphas are the strongest of their kind, they normally end up alone. However, Capri tries to calm her down, saying that there is much misinformation about Alphas and they would be able to handle the situation if she were able to keep her situation under control.
Why was Capri worried about Enid being an Alpha in Wednesday Season 2?
After telling Enid that she should not wolf out and remain calm in Wednesday's Season 2 episode 6, things get complicated when Enid and Wednesday swap bodies. Later, when Capri finds out that Enid left the Lupin cages, he informs her that, though she might be taking the situation lightly, it should not be the case.
If by any means Enid, a young Alpha, wolfs out under the full moon, then there is a possibility that she may remain in her wolf form forever. She also adds that the Alphas who permanently transform are hunted and killed by other werewolves. It is a form of self-policing that the werewolves do.

The threat of being hunted by one's own kind definitely does not sound like good news for Enid. She was worried about being an Alpha, and now her worries have increased manifold. At the end of Wednesday Season 2, we see that Enid’s deepest fears come to life.
When Wednesday is buried and her life is in grave danger, Enid chooses to transform despite knowing that she might not be able to ever turn back. She does it to save Wednesday. After saving Wednesday, she decides to run off and hide to protect herself from being killed. We are yet to find whether Capri’s intentions towards Enid were true or not, as at the end of the series, we see her trying to join hands with Tyler.
