Emma Naomi's exit from Professor T at the end of Season 3 remains the most traumatic exit for a character to date. The British crime drama Professor T, recently renewed for the fifth season, had one of its main characters suffer the most traumatic fate that most fans have not been able to recuperate from, even now.

Emma Naomi's Lisa Donckers' exit from Professor T Season 3

The Professor T Season 3 ending remains the most heartbreaking and gut-wrenching ending determining the fate of Emma Naomi's Lisa Donckers. Lisa Donckers was one of the main characters on the show. As a police detective and a former student of Professor Jasper Tempest, she recruits him to help with challenging criminal cases. Since the very start, both of them have played really important roles in each other's lives.

Donckers was one of the most important female presences in Jasper Tempest's life, and her death went on to hit him the hardest in Season 4 of Professor T.

Lisa's death came to be in the final episode of the third season, in the midst of multiple murder mysteries coming to fruition; hers was the most traumatic. The episode centered around the death of Marianne Tierney and the professor trying to figure out the murderer while dealing with his own personal revelations.

By the end of the episode, both the Professor and Lisa figure out who killed Marianne separately, and just as the Professor calls Lisa to tell her who was responsible, she reveals to him that she already knows that Leah murdered Marianne. The professor is quick to warn Lisa not to confront Leah by herself, as she could be extremely dangerous.

Lisa, however, is already on the scene and has confronted Leah. In her rage to flee, Leah gets into her car, and Lisa tries to stop her by getting in front of her car. In the most traumatic development, Leah does not stop and instead drives her car over Lisa. All the while, Professor T is on the line, and despite already running over her once and having her chance to flee, Leah decides to run over her a second time, killing her.

This was one of the most traumatic and out-of-character sequences for Professor T, and the effects of this episode continue to reverberate throughout the fourth season of the show. Emma Naomi predicted so when she said:

"What can I say?! The end of season three will affect the characters for seasons to come — I think that's the only thing I can safely say! Our viewers will certainly be shocked by what happens."
