Madeleine Stowe plays Ingrid Kersh in It: Welcome to Derry

American actress Madeleine Stowe debuted as the mysterious Ingrid Kersh in It: Welcome to Derry Episode 3.

The actress made her small-screen debut in ABC's detective series Baretta and CBS' superhero series The Amazing Spider-Man in 1978. However, Stowe quickly pivoted to big-screen roles and in 1987, came her first movie role in John Badham's buddy cop crime-comedy Stakeout.

The It: Welcome to Derry star continued to appear in films such as The General's Daughter, We Were Soldiers, 12 Monkeys, Unlawful Entry and The Last of the Mohicans. Madeleine Stowe also maintained an impressive command on the small screen with titles such as Little House on the Prairie, The Gangster Chronicles and the 2005 NBC police procedural Raines.

After decades of working, Stowe finally got her career-defining role in Mike Kelley's 2011 drama series Revenge on ABC. The actress played the lead character and antagonist, Victoria Grayson, for which she also earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. Additionally, she appeared in Netflix's 2019 musical drama series Soundtrack and the 2021 docuseries Eli Roth's History of Horror.

Is Ingrid Kersh Pennywise's daughter in It: Welcome to Derry?

After It: Welcome to Derry Episode 6, Ingrid Kersh has become a fascinating character, who revealed that she is Bob Gray's daughter, the original Pennywise the dancing clown who inspired It's favorite guise. Lilly also discovers that it was Ingrid Kersh, as Pennywise's aide Perrywinkle, who followed them in the cemetery.

After Pennywise's feasting on Mabel (from the cold open in Episode 6), he transforms into Bob Gray to manipulate a young Ingrid into thinking that her father is still somewhere buried inside the evil entity. This initiates a chilling partnership between Pennywise and Ingrid, where the latter converts Juniper Hill into It's feeding ground, to meet her 'father'.

Ingrid Kersh reveals the chilling details about her relationship with Pennywise in It: Welcome to Derry Episode 6:

''Every time that he would return, this shadow would steal my father away. I had to find a way to free him. So I did what I had to, to see him again. If he could just see me once more as his Periwinkle, remind him of the love that we shared, I know that he’ll be able to break free.”

While Ingrid believes that Pennywise is still her father, she is not It's daughter. However, It used Ingrid's delusions and transformed her into a pawn to hunt and feed on young children at Juniper Hill.
