For Peacemaker Season 2, fans can only wonder which side of Leota Adebayo they'll get to see: Will it be the peaceful person who loves dressing up her tiny dog, or the violent protagonist with torpedo and guns?
Which version of Leota Adebayo are fans going to experience in Peacemaker Season 2?
It cannot be denied that among all the characters in the series, Leota Adebayo’s character is one of the most relatable ones, especially because of her nature. As she navigates through the challenges, she becomes an integral part of the team.

She is undoubtedly the heart of the team. She understands the other members. She considers Chris Smith her friend. After her mother requests her to join the team, she develops a strong bond with the other members, though she initially had no such intention. She holds a core sense of optimism, and there is a sense of belonging about her character.
At the end of the first season, we see many changes in her character. She is finally embracing her strength and her true talent. To see this new side of her in Peacemaker Season 2 would definitely be a thrilling watch. So we can definitely expect her to embrace this new version and also have a strong moral fiber. She would probably not kill anyone given the choice of sparing a life, because that is how she truly is.
While discussing her character in an interview with Collider, Leota Adebayo, Danielle Brooks says,
“I think we all have that thing; you want to do right by your parents. You want them to be proud of you. You want to just make them proud, and so that was that internal struggle with the diary and then trying to right her wrong after the fact, too. It’s like, you build this trust to just break it down, but luckily, there are opportunities to redeem yourself, and I think that’s what this is about, too, is redemption.”
At the end of the first season, we see Leota throw her mother under the bus and reveal all her plans. She now has a newfound toughness. There is also a more pragmatic view of the world around her.

She is no longer the naive rookie. Hence, in Peacemaker Season 2, it will be intriguing to watch her navigate between peace and violence.
In an interview with Collider, she discusses the similarities that fans can expect from her character in Peacemaker Season 2,
“She gained so much confidence that she ends up rattin’ out her mom. When we meet her in Season 2, the one thing that I think has been consistent about Adebayo has been her optimism. There is just something about her that is like you, as most of us actors, we've been talking about today, 'I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm going to believe that this thing is going to happen.' And I think that's where we meet her at the top”
