By Episode 8 of Tulsa King Season 2, Armand “Manny” Truisi is unravelling. His life is falling apart as he is losing his family, facing financial crisis, and becoming an alcoholic. He becomes increasingly erratic and unreliable. Armand is shown lashing out at Spencer, his subordinate, often and eventually, when he turned his frustrations towards Margaret, she ended up firing Armand.

For Margaret, it isn't about his drinking but his unreliability, poor judgment, and the danger he has become to the Ranch operations. By this point, Armand has alienated his family, lost Dwight’s trust, and worn out Thresher’s patience, so losing his job with Margaret marks the collapse of the last bit of stability in his life.

Armand makes a series of awful decisions, this whole period. He yells at Spencer, his subordinate, at the ranch. He also loses his temper again and lashes out at Margaret. Therefore, Margaret's response becomes inevitable when she fires him for his volatile behaviour.

He has become a liability for her, driven by desperation and emotional turmoil. It seems like he can never gather himself out of it. He often acts out aggressively, undermining workplace stability. Margaret is someone who values order and composure and cannot keep him in her orbit under those conditions.

Armand had become the "weak Link" with his losing tongue and need for validation, making him an easy prey for Thresher, and once that usefulness dries up, he has nowhere left to turn. He isn't cunning anymore like Dwight, nor resilient like Mitch.

What tragedy is Armand dealing with in Tulsa King Season 2?

The tragedy is that Armand wants to be a family man, but the choice he makes ends up pushing him away from that dream. His kids don't like him anymore, while his wife is also moving on in a way. Therefore, Margaret's firing him just adds to it.

The scene becomes symbolic of him losing the last semblance of dignity and stability. His attempt to rob Dwight’s stash shows how desperation warps him. It’s not about greed, it’s about clawing back control when every other door has shut in his face.

Armand is one of the most compelling and humane characters of Tulsa King, as he is flawed, weak, and impulsive. These flaws are rooted in fear and not malice. That makes him sympathetic, even as he barrels toward disaster.
