Why Marvel Zombies has only 4 Episodes?

Did you also feel that Marvel Zombies was moving at quite a fast pace? Well, you are not the only one, and there is a reason behind it. Marvel Zombies was initially supposed to be a movie. Making the story into a movie format would have definitely created a massive hit.

However, the creators could not take the route to make Marvel Zombies into a movie, as Spider-Man is present in the series. However, Sony’s deal was the major issue in the path of making this thrilling ride with the zombies into a movie.

In an interview with Variety, Bryan Andrews opened up about the issue of the series having only four episodes. He said that “time and money” were the major factors that led to the series having such a fast pace and only four episodes.

He also added that making it into a movie would have been “epic”. However, even though we get only four episodes of this intense zombie world, it was a fulfilling ride. It ends by giving us an even stronger anticipation for more of it.

There were multiple moments in the series that could have been extended to develop the storyline. However, the time constraint led the creators to keep the series concise. Andrews added that they added “as much as possible”. Yet his words make us wonder about what could have been added to the series.

Andrews also opened up about being fully prepared for the next season if they get the chance to make it. He indicated that the viewers “have no idea the insanity that’s just waiting around the corner”. The series is already making numbers. On IMDb, the series got a rating of 7.4, proving its competence and intrigue.

It cannot be denied that the team did a commendable job in bringing out the storyline of Marvel Zombies within the limited time and budget constraints. Even though it forced them to be concise and direct about the plotline, the structure perfectly delivered the complete story.

The series features some of the most talented actors who have already worked in prior Marvel projects. Iman Vellani reprised her role as Kamala Khan. Along with her, Hailee Steinfeld returned as Kate Bishop. Florence Pugh and David Harbour brought life to Yelena Belova and Alexei Shostakov. Simu Liu came back as Xu Shang-Chi.

Elizabeth Olsen also returned as Wanda Maximoff. These familiar voices added to the overall intrigue of this series. The limited number of episodes of the series, along with the familiar characters, enhanced the overall intrigue. It created an impactful story proving how much can be done with a clear vision despite the short time.
