Why did Rick Flag Sr. visit Harcourt in Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4? Details explored

Peacemaker Season 2 has been a rollercoaster, with each episode bringing forth more and more complications. Though the first season ended with the team finding success in the mission, the second season shows that each of their lives is in shambles. Chris is facing troubles with his identity and insecurities, Adeboyo’s marriage is almost at the verge of ending, and Harcourt is definitely not in the right emotional state.

However, Rick Sr. points out that Waller’s orders were defied when she got too far. He also adds that Harcourt is blackbooked, preventing her from getting a job in any of the intelligence agencies. He then suggests to Harcourt that if she is able to bring them the Peacemaker, then he will be able to help Harcourt get into the good graces of the U.S government.

It cannot be denied that he is seeking revenge from Peacemaker for killing his son; however, using Harcourt to capture Peacemaker truly shows the extent to which he is prepared to go for his goals.

Whether Harcourt will take up Rick Flag Sr.’s offer is yet to be revealed by the episode, but it sets the tone for the upcoming episodes. Harcourt is undoubtedly suffering the loss of Rick Flag Jr. However, she is aware of the fact that it was not Rick’s fault fully. Rick was given orders by Amanda Waller, which led him to make the decision to kill Rick.

In the second season, we also see that Harcourt is getting distant from Chris. Chris’ feelings are very much evident, and Adebayo also asks her the reason why she is not considering Chris’s feelings, to which Harcourt says that they will never be a thing. She is also suffering after losing her job; hence, there is a possibility that she might eventually help Rick Flag Sr. in his endeavor.
