Why did The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kelli need to throw her crystal in the ocean?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 Episode 15 aired on June 15, 2025, on Bravo. It featured various events, including one in which cast member Kelli Pharrell spoke with her divorce attorney.

They discussed the divorce proceedings and how things would proceed in court. The attorney also asked Kelli about an anniversary gift she had received from her husband and if she had any paperwork related to it.

Later, when she was with the fellow cast members, they talked about her divorce. She also shared information about what happened with the crystal while speaking with her attorney. She told the other females that she needed to throw the crystal into the ocean, and they all supported her.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 Episode 15: Kelli's crystal broke in half

The latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 Episode 15, featured Kelli Ferrell moving further with her divorce process. For that, she spoke with her attorney over the phone. They discussed various things related to the paperwork and more.

"This is the final call with my attorney before going to court. When this court date actually happens, I should officially be divorced," she confessed.

While talking to her attorney, she confessed to the cameras that it was one of the "most difficult things" she was going through. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star added that she hated that when she was out with the girls, her divorce matters also followed her.

She wanted to have her moment, but she had to talk to her attorney.

"I hate that it has to come to Grenada with me because that was the purpose of me coming here to kind of reset and have my moment, but unfortunately it's, you know, it's things that have to be discussed and talked about."

Further in the episode, when she went out with the fellow female cast members, she revealed an incident that happened to her. She recalled her conversation with her attorney and shared it with the cast members.

She mentioned that after talking to her divorce attorney, she was feeling "heavy" and also cried later. She then noticed that her crystal was broken:

"The crazy thing is, so let me tell y'all this, I was having the call with my attorney, and it was a little heavy, so I did my whole little crying thing, and I got up and the crystal broke completely in half."

One of them asked Kelli what it meant. Kelli responded that it meant an "end" of a relationship.

"I googled it because I was so upset. It symbolizes the end of a relationship," responded Kelli.

Fellow The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast mates comforted Kelli, after which she mentioned she felt like she had to throw the crystal in the ocean. Listening to her, her friends supported her and also counted down for her to throw the crystal.

Everyone went up on the balcony and was there while she threw the crystal away. Later, Kelli confessed to the cameras about how she was able to "finally connect" on so many levels. She wanted to "reset" and "renew."

"I'm just truly grateful for Grenada, and I feel like this was the rebirth that we all needed."

She added that she wanted the "sisterhood" to continue after they all reach Atlanta.
