Though there has been no official announcement about a crossover between Boston Blue and Boston Bloods, Donnie Wahlberg revealed that he wants to “incorporate” the two worlds of Boston Blue and Blue Bloods as much as possible. He also indicated his desire to make a movie with the characters of the two series.

He said that it is his “dream” to “do a feature film”. Now that Danny’s son Sean and Bridget Moynahan appear in the opener of Boston Blue, the chances of getting more cast members from the previous police procedural into this world are increased.

It cannot be denied that the creation of Boston Blue indicates the expansion of this universe on a larger scale. Hence, the possibilities of a crossover movie would not be a bad idea to incorporate into the world of the Reagan family. The movie would act as a bridge between the two worlds, increasing the ability to gain more appreciation from the previous viewers and the new viewers. The storyline of Boston Blue does possess certain similarities with its predecessor.

It can be understood that this series will also dive into the world of crime and police cases with aspects of betrayal and complications. The series dives into the story of Danny Reagan after he decides to switch to the Boston Police Department.
