Will there be a Chief of War Season 2? Speculations explored

Chief of War season 1 has now come to an end. Through the nine episodes of the series, the viewers got to witness the dedication of the characters to their respective purposes. On one hand, after witnessing the danger that the “whiteskins” pose, Ka’iana seeks the support of Kamehameha to unite the islands.

However, their path is strewn with many hindrances, especially one that involves Keoua. Speculations about Chief of War Season 2

At the end of the Chief of War episode 9, we see that the battle finally comes to an end. Kamehameha, with the help of Ka’iana, wins against Keoua. This victory against Keoua sets the stage for Kamehakema to become the great king. However, winning the battle against Keoua is definitely not the end of the path; rather, it is just the beginning.

After the victory, Kamehameha and Ka’iana are one step closer to their main goal of the unification of the islands to protect them from the greater danger. This gruelling battle at the end of the first season only sets the stage for the further complications that Ka’iana and Kamehameha are set to face.

Hence, though there are no official announcements on Apple TV’s part, it can be expected that the series will get another season to finally achieve the goal that the characters began with.

It cannot be denied that it is truly rare to see the depiction of authentic Polynesian culture on screen; hence, the manner in which Jason Momoa and the creators of Chief of War presented the storyline is worth appreciating.

There is a genuine representation of the culture in the series. The creators spared no expense in making sure the series is done perfectly. Cultural advisors were present in the production department to make sure everything was historically accurate.

No wonder the series has received such an immense positive response from both the viewers and the critics. Many factors are taken into consideration when the decision to continue a series comes forward. However, in every aspect, be it the storyline or the response, Chief of War does have the possibility for a second season.

Jason Momoa himself opened up in an interview about his desire to make a second and a third season if Apple TV gives the greenlight. The series is his passion project; hence, his dedication towards bringing out the whole story to the viewers seems undeniable.

It cannot be denied that Apple TV often invests in shows that are visually stunning and worth watching. Hence, the possibility of Apple TV bringing another season of Chief of War definitely seems the plausible approach.

Though nothing is confirmed yet, Chief of War Season 2 definitely seems to be a strong possibility. Right after the release, the series gained huge popularity. The popularity is constantly rising with each passing day. The viewers have completely fallen in love with the mesmerising visuals and the authentic storytelling of the series.

The anticipation for the second season is also on the rise. Viewers are eager to see how Ka’iana and Kamehameha’s bond develops moving forward. As the series is quite historically accurate, the storyline will get further intriguing in the upcoming seasons.
