Invincible season 3 has come to an end, leaving the audience with some burning questions. The Prime Video superhero series has become one of the most popular animated shows of recent times with its gripping narrative.

The third season concluded on a high note, and there is still a lot left to be explored from the comic world. This makes the audience wonder if and when there will be an Invincible season 4.

Fortunately, the show has already been renewed for a fourth season. Prime Video showcased its faith in the project by giving it an early renewal. However, the release date for the next installment remains to be announced.

The renewal status of Invincible Season 4

Invincible season 4 has officially been confirmed by Prime Video. The streamer announced the renewal in July 2024, way before the third season’s premiere. The announcement was made at the San Diego Comic-Con.

As of now, the streaming platform has not confirmed the release date of Invincible season 4. However, audiences might not have to wait for long as the season is already in production.

While the previous chapters had a sporadic release schedule, series creator Robert Kirkman has said in his interviews that he now wants the show to have a regular release roster.

Since the show was renewed back in July 2024, work is going on in full swing. Actor J.K. Simmons, who voices Omni-Man, revealed in February 2025 that the cast was already back in the studio to lend their voices in the fourth season.

Hence, Invincible season 4 is expected to premiere in about a year. A release date of early 2026 seems plausible, but we need to wait for an official announcement by Prime Video.

The potential storyline of Invincible Season 4

The Invincible comics have 144 issues, out of which only 65 have been adapted into the animated series so far. Hence, the creators have enough source material to come up with an interesting storyline in the fourth season.

Mark has had a shift in mindset as he is willing to eliminate anyone who threatens his family. This might have major consequences in the next season as the superhero becomes more ruthless. He would be tested once again as Darkblood would try to lure him into Hell.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Conquest is alive and in the GDA’s custody. This raises questions about his role moving forward. The biggest danger is still the Viltrumites. With Omni-Man and Allen the Alien forming an unexpected team, a war could be seen in season 4.

Since season 3 ended right before the Viltrumite War, the next season will likely focus on this epic fight. The show usually follows the comics, but it also adds new twists, which are expected to continue in the upcoming chapter. With so many storylines happening at once, the fourth season might finish the war or end on a major cliffhanger.

The voice cast of Invincible Season 4

The main cast members are going to reprise their roles in the next season, including Steven Yeun as Mark Invincible and J. K. Simmons as Omni-Man.

Other actors who are expected to return include Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Christian Convery as Oliver, Walton Goggins as Cecil, Chris Diamantopoulos as Donald, Luke Macfarlane as Rick Sheridan, and Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien.

The show might also add some cast members in the future, based on the storyline and new characters of season 4. For now, the following actors are expected to be heard in the next season:

  • Steven Yeun as Mark
  • J. K. Simmons as Omni-Man
  • Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson
  • Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve
  • Christian Convery as Oliver
  • Walton Goggins as Cecil
  • Chris Diamantopoulos as Donald
  • Luke Macfarlane as Rick Sheridan
  • Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien
