Considering the two-season renewal that the series has received, Netflix is extremely certain about the live-action remake, Avatar: The Last Airbender's future. However, the same cannot be said for the bounty hunter June, played by Arden Cho. June made her debut on the cartoon, where the character was voiced by Jennifer Hale, which was later adapted into the live-action remake, where Arden Cho played the fan-favorite minor character.
In a recent conversation with Screen Rant, Cho revealed that there is a lot of uncertainty around her return to the show, but that it is still under consideration. Here's everything we know about Cho's return as June to Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Is June returning to Netflix's live-action remake, Avatar: The Last Airbender

Arden Cho, who played June on the show, will be seen in an animated fantasy musical film, KPop Demon Hunters, where she's playing a badass female character, Rumi. In a recent conversation during the press tour for the musical film, Cho was questioned about her return to the Netflix live-action remake and her character's story.
"Oh, man. I wish I knew. I know. I hope she's back. We're all trying to work that out. It's a big world, and there are a lot of cool characters. But yeah, she's one of my favorites. She's so badass. I feel really lucky to be able to play someone like Rumi, [from Kpop Demon Hunters], but also June [from ATLA], and all these strong badass women. It's fun!"
Even though Cho did not outright confirm or deny her presence in the upcoming seasons, she did reveal that it was still uncertain, and that even though she really enjoyed playing the bounty hunter, there are a variety of characters in the original source that can be explored, so there's a she might not make an appearance in the big world that is Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Netflix's live-action remake mostly stayed true to the source when adapting Avatar: The Last Airbender, so it makes sense that June would not be returning for the second season of the show, as her character is not present in Book 2: Earth. However, her character does have a really important part in the narrative of the climax of Avatar: The Last Airbender, as she is hired to find Aang before his fight with the Fire Lord Ozai in Sozai's Comet. So, there is still a chance we might get to see her.
It was revealed earlier that Avatar: The Last Airbender will be shooting their Seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back, and since the production for Season 2 wrapped and the production for Season 3 already began in May, and since Cho revealed an uncertainty about her character's fture in the series, months after filming started, everything is up in the air at the moment.
We'll just have to wait and see if she returns to the Netflix adaptation.
