Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has steadily taken forward the franchise's legacy of dinosaurs as an animation, and while the franchise has long separated the films and the shows' premise, a crossover may finally happen between Jurassic World: Chaos Theory and an iconic film in the franchise.

Showrunner Scott Kreamer spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about if there would be a franchise crossover that will take place as he told the outlet,

“Having Colin [Trevorrow] in the writers room with us before every season kept the story surprises and re-plotting to a minimum, which is always a bonus. When we did see things differently, they always heard us out and, in most cases, let us go in the direction that we wanted.”

He also talked about how the show's fourth season was tied to Jurassic World: Dominion, as the show's last episodes incorporated the film's plot and characters, as he added,

“Sometimes happenings in the show have a direct effect on the goings-on in the film, and vice versa. I was pretty stoked how we were able to expand on the influence that [Adam Harrington’s Lewis] Dodgson and Biosyn had on the Amber Clave Market in Malta, as well as the laser assassin training that the Atrociraptors went through at Biosyn that our characters head into the season intent on stopping."

When Jurassic World: Chaos Theory landed on Netflix, it marked the franchise’s return to television with a louder, sharper bite. Created by Scott Kreamer and Zack Stentz, the animated series picks up the threads left behind by Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous and positions itself both before and during the events of Jurassic World Dominion. Aaron Hammersley and Kreamer run the show together, with Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow, and Frank Marshall watching over the project as executive producers. Fans immediately recognized familiar voices like Paul-Mikél Williams, Sean Giambrone, Kausar Mohammed, and Raini Rodriguez, who had returned from Camp Cretaceous, joined by newcomers Darren Barnet and Kiersten Kelly.

The voice cast gives each character a real emotional weight. Paul-Mikél Williams returns as Darius Bowman, who now works with the Department of Prehistoric Wildlife to track and protect dinosaurs. Darren Barnet replaces Ryan Potter as Kenji Kon, who’s now Darius’ adoptive brother and a skilled climbing instructor. Sean Giambrone voices Ben Pincus, whose deep dive into conspiracy theories brings the group back together. Kausar Mohammed portrays Yaz Fadoula as she tries to heal from her trauma while juggling college life. Raini Rodriguez brings warmth and fire to Sammy Gutierrez, who now runs her family’s ranch and builds a life with Yaz. Kiersten Kelly takes over the role of Brooklynn, whose suspicious brush with an Allosaurus leaves her presumed dead until the truth emerges: she survived, though she lost a hand.
