Kemen, played by Leon Wadham, is a non-canonical character in the Prime Video series. He is introduced as Pharazôn's son and has been a recurring character since season 1. While he has been portrayed as a shady character from the beginning, his cruelty becomes more visible after Pharazôn takes the throne of Númenor.

Since then, he has displayed all the signs of what happens when someone with no integrity has been granted too much unchecked power. His character has reminded many of King Jeoffrey Baratheon from Game of Thrones. He is the one who, with his father's orders, strips the Sea Guards, including Captain Elendil, of their ranks due to their loyalty to Valar and Queen Míriel.

There are numerous other instances from Season 2, which presented Kemen's greed for power and apathy toward others' struggles, making him one of the best candidates to become a Ringwraith. His cruel nature and thirst for power might be one of the reasons why Sauron would give one of the rings of power to him in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3.

In The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3, it is speculated that Sauron might be arrested by Pharazôn's men and brought to Númenor. As per the LOTR lore, three Númenorian lords will receive rings of power forged for the men. Perhaps Kemen would be one, as he seems to be one of those characters who would willingly take the ring that would give them immense power to wreak havoc on Middle-earth.

From interrupting a memorial service for the fallen soldiers to breaking Valar relics, Kemen has shown how evil a character he is, and perfectly fit to become a trusted servant of Sauron. It is also speculated that Kemen's father might grant him a crown after he establishes a foothold in Pelargir, where he was seen in the finale of Season 2, making him a lord of Númenor, which will make him a candidate to receive a ring in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3.

Furthermore, in an episode of Season 2, Kemen's father reveals that his mother prophesied about an ill fate that Kemen would encounter. This further suggests that his greed might take him to Sauron and a ring of power. He might think that the ring would grant him immense power, but it would actually be his downfall, as it would turn him into a servant of Sauron and an immortal creature living in the darkness.
