The possibilities of Last Summer Season 2

For any TV show to continue with a second season, a crucial aspect that is needed besides the factor of numbers is the storyline. For Last Summer, the storylines that were started at the beginning of the series provide a proper ending at the end of the series.

Hence, there are hardly any unanswered questions that might make the viewers wonder about the second season. So, the chances of bringing a second season are quite low. The viewership is a crucial factor in determining the future of a series. For Last Summer, it is in a positive direction.

Right after the series dropped, it gained a steady growth in the number of viewers. Hence, if the creators of Last Summer decide to bring forth a second season, the numbers are definitely favorable. However, as the storylines provide us with answers, there is a low possibility for Season 2.

In the last episode of this series, the focus is mainly on the steady development of Do-ha and Ha-gyeong’s relationship. Spending time together in the same house contributed to the development of their relationship in a positive direction. This episode also shows their dedication to making sure that they are able to spend quality time together.

Though often their plans to go out get cancelled because of unforeseen circumstances, they are not disappointed by any of it. Do-ha’s birthday in this episode brought forth a heartwarming touch to the storyline. Do-ha’s parents, along with Ha-gyeong’s father, arrive at their house to celebrate his birthday together as a family. Do-ha and Ha-gyeong realize the long way that they have come along with the stark development that their lives have gone through.

At the end of the episode in this series, Lee-seul and Seung-taek’s marriage reconciliation also adds a layer of intrigue. They are unable to stay away from each other. After spending such a long time together, spending their lives away from each other was not something that they wanted to do. Lee-seul’s ultrasound photo also created quite a humorous situation in this episode.

Seeing the picture of the ultrasound by the bedside table at their house, Do-ha thinks that Ha-gyeong is pregnant. To say that he is delighted would be an understatement, as he gets right into the process to make Ha-gyeong comfortable. He begins to cook meals for her and even makes sure to spend more time with her instead of focusing on work.

The last episode of Last Summer ends with a positive tone. Each and every relationship that this series brings forth moves towards a positive direction. It cannot be denied that the cast members perfectly captured the essence of love and emotions that this series wanted to evoke from the beginning.
