Leverage: Redemption, the action crime drama initially released on Freevee, was moved to Prime Video for its third season. The third season was released on 27 April 2025 and has aired eight episodes so far, with two yet to be released. However, the show has not been renewed for a new season yet.
When it comes to online streaming platforms, shows are often renewed before the current season is finished airing. However, Leverage: Redemption showrunner Dean Devlin revealed that Prime Video has a different process, which is why they haven't heard anything about a renewal yet. As of now, the show has not been renewed for a fourth season, but there's still some hope.
Dean Delvin speaks about the fate of Leverage: Redemption season four
Leverage: Redemption is a spin-off of Leverage, which aired from 2008-2012. The spin-off picks up the story a year after the death of Nate Ford and shows how the former crew reunites.
Leverage: Redemption season 3 premiered on Prime Video with the first three episodes, and now has only two more episodes of the season left. "The Polygeist Job" and "The Side Job", i.e., the last two episodes, will be released on 29th May and 5th June 2025, respectively.

However, Prime Video has not yet decided whether the show will be renewed for a fourth season. When asked about the show's renewal, in an interview with ScreenRant, he replied:
We haven't heard yet. Amazon likes to get a lot of data, they usually wait until after the last show is aired, and then they want about six more months of data afterwards. I think on one hand, it's great that they don't have to rush, but on the other hand, it's tough, because sometimes, you go two years in between seasons. So, we're hoping we'd get word one way or another sooner than later, but I anticipate it'll be a while.
Based on what Dean Delvin said, it looks like Prime Video might not have yet reached a final decision about a renewal before the end of 2025. While it makes sense for a big platform like Prime Video to take its time, too much delay can lead to fans losing interest.
Leverage: Redemption season 3 came out three years after season 2, and it shifted from Freevee to Prime Video. The show has already risked losing fans to a large extent. Besides, if the show takes longer to return for a fourth season, it will lose momentum, and fans will no longer wish to return to it.

If Prime Video keeps delaying the renewal announcements, the show might lose fans rapidly. Besides, even if season 4 does get announced this year, it is most likely that it won't arrive before 2027. Fans do not appreciate long wait times between seasons, hence it'll be interesting to see how all this pans out.
We also have to consider the fact that Prime Video cannot drastically cancel shows before collecting and analyzing the necessary data. That could lead to the streamer loose shows with great potential. Thus, a thorough analysis is necessary. But the hope remains that the show gets renewed soon and returns for a fourth season.
Each new episode of Leverage: Redemption comes out on Thursdays on Prime Video at 3 am ET.
