Fans have been clamouring for Nobody Wants This Season 3. Created by Erin Foster, the romantic comedy series has garnered widespread critical acclaim for its mature yet wholesome storytelling.
Featuring Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, and others, the show explores the amusing relationship between an outgoing and agnostic podcaster, Joanne (Bell), and a devout Jewish rabbi, Noah (Brody).
The show premiered on Netflix in September 2024, and its second season wrapped recently in October 2025. Therefore, fans are eagerly awaiting Nobody Wants This Season 3.
The romantic comedy explores the deepening relationship between Joanne and Noah, and delivers an exciting ending in the latest season.
However, the streaming giant Netflix has not renewed the show for a third season just yet. Given the acclaim the show has garnered and the Emmy nominations it has received, it does make a strong case for being explored further.
Details about Nobody Wants This Season 3

Fans will have to wait a little longer as Netflix has not given the green light just yet. However, according to Marie Claire, the second season of the show was renewed on October 10, 2024, two weeks after the September 26 premiere. Therefore, viewers can expect news about Nobody Wants This Season 3 by mid-November 2025, as the second season of the show has just wrapped up.
In a more exciting update, actress Kristen Bell told Parade that, even though actors don’t know whether the show will continue, the writers have been working:
“The writer’s room is working right now...You never know if you’re gonna be able to shoot because that’s way above our pay grade, and they decide what shows are gonna be shot. But the writer’s room is writing it right now. That we know.”

The second season of the show ended on a hopeful note after Noah and Joanne had almost decided to go their separate ways. Joanne’s indecision over converting remains one of the show’s biggest plot points over the two seasons, and even though she almost decides to stay an atheist, a conversation with her sister-in-law, Esther, gives Joanne some clarity.
Joanne realizes that she will not lose her identity by converting, and Noah, on the other hand, comes to the conviction that he wants Joanne, whether she is Jewish or not. Ultimately, the two kiss, and as Noah says, “I choose you, Every time,” Joanne replies cheekily, “You’re in luck.” Therefore, Nobody Wants This Season 3 could explore Joanne’s journey as she embarks on a path of conversion, according to Marie Claire.
In an interview with Parade, Adam Brody said he wants Noah and Joanne to take their relationship to the next level, since the characters have moved slowly together so far.
“I think if he could hit the gas, the pedal in another area, that would be nice,” Brody stated.
On the other hand, both Brody and Bell discussed why millennials love the show.
Brody said, “I think it’s a more communicative generation than ones that came before, and these characters are, you know, nothing, if not communicating with each other and learning to listen. And I think that that resonates for a lot of people of a similar age or younger.”
Bell gave her own point of view. “I think every generation gets more communicative and more sort of a higher EQ, I guess. But, I think, I would say that maybe data tells us that even though they’re more emotionally adept, they’re not as practiced...And in this show, you’re seeing a relationship with two separate POVs modeled with healthy communication. And I think modeling behavior is the first step to practicing it.”
