The Peacemaker Season 2 teaser trailer concluded with a significant implication. In the closing moments of the trailer, we see John Cena's Christopher Smith/Peacemaker enter a room inside the pocket dimension. On the inside, the room looks like it belongs to an alternate universe's version of Christopher Smith.
As the Christopher Smith we followed in season 1 enters the room, the occupant of the room, again Peacemaker, stands behind the former and holds him at gunpoint. This has fans hyped for Peacemaker Season 2 because this is taking place inside the confines of Christopher Smith's dad's pocket dimension, which might be connected to the multiverse.
What is the role of the pocket dimension in Peacemaker Season 2?

We see the pocket dimension in the first season, and it seems that it will return in Peacemaker Season 2, too. In the first season, it was revealed to be an abstract space that serves as storage for Christopher Smith's father, August "Auggie" Smith (Robert Patrick)'s suit and weapons. Auggie is the racist supervillain White Tiger, who is killed by Christopher in the seventh episode of season 1.
But Peacemaker Season 2 may reveal that the pocket dimension might be connected to other universes as well, allowing the show to play with the multiversal concept as well. As seen in the teaser trailer, this alternate universe's version of Chris is not just successful but also probably joined the White Tiger in his supervillainy.
However, the best difference between our Christopher Smith and this alternate version is his suit, which is very similar, except for one major detail: the chest emblem. The chest emblem on the Peacemaker suit is usually a bird with its head in a downward position.
However, the one from the alternate universe's chest emblem has the same bird soaring upwards. This seems to hint that, unlike our Christopher Smith, this version of Peacemaker seems to be successful at whatever he is doing.
What else do we know about Peacemaker Season 2?
Not much is known about the second season except for one important detail: Christopher is attempting to join an unnamed superhero team. But it looks like he is rejected despite successfully saving the world back in Season 1. The synopsis of Peacemaker Season 2 reads:
"The new season follows Christopher “Chris” Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost"
Apart from that, viewers are looking forward to the fan-favorite intro, in which Christopher Smith and other characters from the series dance to the tune of a song. All eight episodes of the first season played Wig Wam's "Do You Wanna Taste It." John Cena and all the actors seen across all episodes dance to the tune of the song.
It quickly became one of the highlights of the series, and fans were looking forward to the intro as the second season was on the horizon. However, during the February 2025 press event, James Gunn revealed that "Do You Wanna Taste It" will not be playing before the episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 and revealed that a different song will be used for this season.
When asked about the release date for the new song, Gunn responded:
“I don't know about when they're going to see it. I was talking about the other day because one, it was really fun in the first, one of the things is we totally kept that from the public until the first episode aired and it flipped people out, which was the most fun about it. Now people know it's coming, so it's not as exciting in that respect, but, but I went through a lot of permutations of potential songs, that I was gonna have it open to, you know, including reusing, doing a different dancing to the Do You Wanna Taste It, but then we ended up with something else that I think works, and I think it's the second season is much more about the characters and the interconnectivity between the characters and their personal lives and it's more about Chris Smith than it is about Peacemaker and so I think that the song reflects that, overarching theme.”
