Spirit Fingers definitely had an intriguing run with many ups and downs. Each and every character of the series fought their own battles. In the end, the series left us with a hopeful note. The ending of Spirit Fingers perfectly captured the message that the series wanted to deliver.
As a result, it becomes a memorable one. However, at the end of the series, a question that tugs at the minds of the fans is whether the series will be renewed for a second season. However, with the way the series ended its first season, the chances of getting a second season definitely do not seem to be happening.
Possibilities of Spirit Fingers Season 2 happening
It cannot be denied that for any series to get renewed for a new season, certain elements in the previous season need to remain unanswered. These unanswered questions become the material with which the new season starts off. However, for Spirit Fingers, all the questions that the series started off with end with an answer at the end of the series.
Each and every complication that the series initially delved into finds its solution in the finale of Spirit Fingers. As a result, the possibility of Spirit Fingers Season 2 happening definitely seems low to negative. At the end of the first season, U-yeon and her family finally face the challenges that tormented them from the beginning of the series.
The main aspect of Spirit Fingers is U-yeon’s insecurity, which arises from being neglected by her family. It leads to her getting in trouble. She feels lonely. She is not able to connect with others. However, as the series progresses, things begin to change for her, and all the credit goes to the Spirit Fingers group.
At the end of the series, U-yeon is also able to confront her family’s troubles through her brother U-dol. Due to their father’s lack of attention towards U-dol, he begins to grow resentful towards his mother. He begins to blame her for his father’s behavior. This creates a chaotic situation at their home. Even U-yeon’s older brother gets involved to stop the fight. U-yeon slowly understands that the understanding she had about her brother was not at all correct. Her older brother also faced difficulties because of her family.
As the episode progresses, U-dol begins to get more and more troubled with his family, causing him to make the decision to leave his house. U-dol’s disappearance causes U-yeon’s family to search for him. They finally find him at the hospital after Gi-jeong takes him there after they come across an accident at the playground. U-yeon introduces Gi-jeong as her boyfriend to her family. She later even fixes the trouble he had with Gi-jeong. On the other hand, U-dol also understands that his mother was not at fault.
This causes him to reconcile with her. U-yeon finds out about his mother’s past struggles with ballet. She understands that it was the root of her worries about U-yeon’s future. U-yeon and her mother speak about this, after which U-yeon’s mother becomes supportive of her dreams. U-yeon also finally regains the confidence that she was lacking because of her insecurities.
As each of these elements is solved at the end of the series, the chances of the series getting a second season are low. This series, just like many other K-dramas, gives us a happy ending, which we were eagerly waiting for.
