While there is no news about Steve Carell or John Krasinski appearing for a cameo in The Paper till now, actress Sabrina Impacciatore told Entertainment Weekly that Carell and Krasinski did come to the sets of The Paper and wished good luck.
As the show began its first day of shoot, the famous stars from The Office, Krasinski and Carell, made it a point to crash the sets and meet the new cast members of the spinoff. Impacciatore states that she, Gleeson, and Frei were in their makeup trailer at Universal Studios Lot in Los Angeles when they were visited by the two actors.
“No makeup yet. We are very anxious. Like, oh my God, we’re so scared. And then we hear knock, knock…Someone enters the trailer, and it’s Steve Carell and John Krasinski! We’re fainting. Like, what? Can you imagine? Isn’t it crazy? The first day of shooting!” Impacciatore states.
Coincidentally, Carell and Krasinski were in the same studio lot that day as they were filming for an Italian coffee brand called Lavazza next door. Impacciatore continued mentioning that the two actors stopped by the set of the show and wished the cast good luck as the series began filming. Interestingly, the actress had not seen The Office before she was hired for The Paper, and she began to binge-watch the show and loved Steve Carell. “Steve Carell became someone that I loved,” she states.
