Firstly, the finale has left the viewers on a thrilling cliffhanger. If the network and the showrunners had previously decided on just one season, they could have addressed all the loose ends in the finale episode (although it would have been way too rushed). Only six episodes for a series like Talamasca, which is tied to Anne Rice's Immortal Universe, doesn't seem too convincing.Secondly, the showrunners, John Lee and Mark Lafferty, have teased the hope of a potential Season 2. Even though they have not directly addressed the query, they have spoken candidly about the character's future.
