Will The Manipulated Season 2 happen? Possibilities explored

The Manipulated is finally at an end. It cannot be denied that this series was truly an impactful one, especially in the manner in which the storyline handled the complex characters. It is rare to see TV shows depicting wicked characters such as Yohan in this series.

Usually, negative characters often have a storyline to back up their behaviors. However, in Yohan’s case, he is just a bad guy with no explanation. At the end of the series, things definitely get heated up between Yohan and Tae-joong. It makes us wonder if a villain like Yohan would end so quickly. The end credit scene in The Manipulated raises questions about Season 2.

Possibilities of The Manipulated Season 2

At the end of episode 12 of The Manipulated, Tae-joong is finally able to unfold the secrets that Yohan had, revealing him as the culprit for all the cases. He is also able to get a judgment of not guilty from the court. A news announcement at the end reveals that Yohan burned to death in his house along with the unfolding of all the truth.

However, a shadowy figure sitting on a chair looking at the screen just the way Yohan did in his lab appears in the end credits scene. Hence, there is a possibility that Yohan is still alive. It cannot be denied that Yohan’s death scene was not shown on screen. So, a huge possibility remains that he might have escaped. His nanny might have helped him get away after Tae-joong left him in the mansion.

The chances of his survival are definitely there. In the second season, the series could continue to unfold the identity of the shadowy man figure on the chair. The chances of this person being Yohan are definitely there; however, it could also be someone else. Hence. If the series decides to bring forth a second season, an intriguing plotline is already present.

A crucial factor for the renewal of a series for a second season is the numbers. In The Manipulated, the intriguing plotline, along with the extremely talented cast members, created a huge demand for the series amongst the fans. Hence, the numbers are definitely going to be indicative of the show’s success.

The Manipulated Season 2 could definitely be a great opportunity for the series to depict the new facet of Tae-joong’s life. Tae-joong's life is moving in a positive direction. So, if season 2 happens, with Yohan coming back to his evil works, his face-off with Tae-joong will truly be thrilling.

Yohan and Tae-joong’s fight at the end of The Manipulated perfectly captured Tae-joong’s desperate attempt to finally take down Yohan. He went through incessant troubles because of Yohan. From getting his life completely turned upside down because he was just present at the wrong place at the wrong time to losing people close to him because of Yohan.

Each and every step he took towards freedom was hindered constantly by Yohan. He even made Yohan become a source of enjoyment through the race. Yohan kept on baiting Tae-joong, which put him in an even more complicated web of lies. After Tae-joong finally found a support system with Yong-sik, even then, Yohan continued his torment.

In episode 12, Yong-sik was about to lose his life because of Yohan’s employee. They even put Eunbi in a dangerous situation. Despite the numerous torturous paths Tae-joong navigated because of Yohan, his good nature did not change. Yohan tried to bribe Tae-joong with money in exchange for Yong-sik’s life. However, Tae-joong refused to accept it and confessed to committing a crime he did not commit just to save Yong-sik.
