The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is slowly inching towards Belly and Jeremiah's wedding, and even though Conrad's feelings towards this are more than obvious on his face and in the background score, we don't know much about how he's doing. This might change by the next episode. It doesn't get more obvious than Billie Eilish singing Halley's Comet, but we might be up for something even more depressing:

"But you're all it takes for me to break a promise / Silly me to fall in love with you."

One constant thing throughout most of The Summer I Turned Pretty is that the episodes are set in Belly's POV and feature her voiceovers, where she tells us exactly how she feels in the most important moments of her life. However, Episode 5, set to release on August 6, 2025, might take a different route by being narrated by Conrad. Here's why we think we might finally get to hear Conrad.

Conrad might be taking over for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 5

Ever since The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 premiered with its first two episodes and two more over consecutive weeks, Team Conrad has been in shambles, watching Jeremiah and Belly fumble through their relationship while Conrad suffers in silence and therapy. However, it might finally be time for Team Conrad to rejoice with Episode 5 from Conrad's perspective.

In a previous conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Christopher Briney, who plays Conrad, confirmed that Conrad will be stealing the voiceover spot from Belly for an episode:

"It's cool to steal the voiceover spot for a little while. It's fun to have exactly what the subtext is. It makes the scene easier, because that's half the work."

In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2, Gavin Casalegno, who plays Jeremiah, had some voiceover parts in the fifth episode. So, this won't be the first time that Han makes such a decision.

Even though Han or Briney did not confirm which exact episode Conrad would be narrating, we're convinced that the upcoming fifth episode is set to be from his perspective.

The biggest hint was the little detail at the end of episode 4 in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment. Seconds before the screen blacks out for Episode 4, Belly runs up to Conrad and hugs him as a thank you after he wishes her a happy belated birthday with some baked goods, and in Conrad's voiceover, we hear

"What have I done?"

This little moment might set up Conrad's POV for the upcoming fifth episode. Not to mention, in the previous season, we heard Jeremiah's POV in Episode 5 as well.

Additionally, at this point, we can claim that The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is an unofficial Swiftie, because just like Taylor Swift's track 5 on her albums, Episode 5 always hits the hardest.

It is a heartbreaking time to be Conrad, as he's forced to suffer in silence while keeping a happy front for Belly and his brother. The next episode might give viewers a slightly more nuanced look into his inner turmoil as Belly immerses herself in wedding planning and looks to Conrad, "the co-best man," for help.

Without spoiling too much for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, in Han's third novel of the series, We'll Always Have Summer, helping Belly through the wedding planning while realizing at every step of the way that she's getting married to his brother and not him is the most agonizing time for Conrad, making the next episode the perfect setup for his voiceover.
