The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 wrapped up with a gripping finale. The finale episode left the viewers guessing whether there would be a next season or not. Here's what we know about it.

Ahead of the Season 3 premiere, at the San Diego Comic Con 2025, AMC announced that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon would return for Season 4. This would be the last installment for the spin-off series. Similar to Season 3, it would be primarily set in Spain. Additionally, as per reports, it will also be the longest season with eight episodes.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 4: Plot, cast, and everything you need to know

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 begins with ultimate chaos. While Daryl joins Paz to rescue Justina, unleashing walkers in a bloody revolt. When Guillermo attacks Paz, Elena kills her husband, saving Paz. Later, the four escape.

Meanwhile, Carol races back for Antonio, only to face betrayal and capture. Fede announces a public execution for them, but they get rescued. Eventually, Justina exposes Fede's wrongdoings and gets him arrested. But just when you thought that the situation might have calmed down and they could finally leave, Fede's final act destroys their plans of escaping. The gunshots set the boat on fire, leaving them stranded in Spain.

Even though the plot details of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 4 remain under wraps, expect the absolute chaos and thrill as Daryl and Carol are in the final leg of their journey back home.

Speaking to Collider during the San Diego Comic-Con, showrunner David Zabel explained:

"It seemed like that four-season arc was gonna be great, and a good place to leave them before the universe figures out what the next moves might be for these characters. They agreed for Season 4 to have us make eight."

Zabel further notes that even though Season 4 will be surprising and satisfying, it leaves the characters/plots in an 'open-ended' situation. When asked about how Season 4 ends, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, notes:

"We're filming now. It's satisfying. It's hard to explain, but it's satisfying."

He further added:

"I feel like the show that we've made in Europe, both in France and Spain, feels like that original show. I started that way, and I always wanted it to end that way, and I feel like we've done that with this show. I have a satisfied feeling."

There is no official release date for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 4 yet. As per speculation, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is set to premiere in fall 2026 (similar to the previous season's release schedule)
