Based on the novels of Karin Slaughter, Will Trent is an ABC crime drama series. It centers on Will Trent, a shrewd GBI agent who now solves the most difficult cases for the organization after overcoming a difficult upbringing in foster care. Will stands out despite his dyslexia because of his keen observational abilities.

His cases frequently intersect with those of his intermittent colleague, APD detective Angie Polaski. In addition to Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, and Jake McLaughlin, Ramón Rodríguez plays Will in the series. The program, which debuted in 2023, is currently in its third season and has been renewed for a fourth season in 2025

Angie's storyline may be impacted by the significant cast change in Will Trent Season 4, which premieres in 2026. A new person from the District Attorney's office will enter her life as she is ready to become a parent. The team will undergo major adjustments because Amanda is recuperating from a gunshot wound and Ormewood's condition is uncertain.

ABC's popular police procedural series Will Trent will officially return for Season 4 in early 2026. After the emotional Season 3 finale, fans have been waiting for updates, and now there's a significant one. The confirmed new cast addition could have a direct effect on Angie Polaski's story. Despite the fact that most of the original cast will be returning, the addition of a new character with a legal background may alter significant future relationships, especially for Angie.

Erika Christensen's character, Angie, discovered she was expecting Seth's child in Season 3. She chose to keep the baby after a potentially fatal bioterrorism attack and other potentially fatal situations. During an emotional ultrasound scene at the end of the season, she heard the baby's heartbeat while Will Trent, the man she had a turbulent relationship with, quietly left the room. Soon after, the baby's father, Seth, arrived, and the two shared a heartfelt moment that might be the final straw for Will and Angie's relationship.

With the departure of Gina Rodriguez's character, ADA Marion Alba, ABC is adding a new female character connected to the district attorney's office. According to reports, she will be working closely with Angie, potentially providing professional and personal assistance. This new figure is expected to play an important role in Angie's tale, either becoming a close confidant or, depending on how things turn out, a cause of friction. This additional addition might either help or impede Angie's transition to motherhood.

Other major characters, meanwhile, faced serious consequences following the Season 3 finale. Amanda Wagner, GBI Deputy Director, was shot while defending Angie and had surgery, and fans are curious about her role in the next season, as her condition remains unknown despite her survival. Michael Ormewood died at the end of the season finale, most likely as a result of a previously discovered brain tumor. His fate is uncertain, and Season 4 will most likely focus on what happened following these potentially lethal incidents.

With Angie becoming a mother and Will beginning to mend his connection with his recently found father, Sheriff Caleb Roussard, the main characters are embarking on entirely new stages of their lives.
