With just a few days to release Only Murders In The Building releases a character poster for Howard

As we get closer to the premiere of Only Murders in the Building season five, the show has been releasing character posters of some of its characters on X. Some of the character posters posted by the show on X till now were those of Mabel Mora, Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam, Loretta Durkin, Jay Pfluig, Camila White, and Bash Steed.

Three days before the new season comes out, the show has released the character poster for Howard Morris, played by Michael Cyril Creighton.

Only Murders in the Building reveals the Howard Morris poster

Only Murders in the Building has just revealed a character poster for Howard Morris on X. The character poster shows a picture of Howard, with the caption,

You can always bet on Howard to help us crack the case. 🔎 #OMITB Season 5 premieres this Tuesday on @hulu.

As the caption suggests, Howard will be an important character in season five, as he will be helping the trio in solving who killed Lester. Since all the murders in the show take place in the same building, it makes sense that Howard will be able to acquire information for Charles, Oliver, and Mabel.

Howard Morris is a resident of Arconia who lives in Apartment 3C. He first appeared as a recurring character in Only Murders in the Building for the first two seasons and as a main character in later seasons. Howard is known for his love for his cats. His cat, Evelyn, dies on the same night as the first season's murder victim, Tim Kono. Then, he adopted Sevelyn. Although he lived alone, Howard’s attachment to his pets indicates how sensitive and nurturing he is towards his cats.

Howard is shy, cautious, and slightly offbeat. He often finds himself nervous in social situations, especially when it comes to interacting with people for the first time. Howard likes to participate in a yodel shop quartet and loves gossip. While it may be perceived as a not-so-nice quality in general, Howard's nosiness often leads to the trio getting valuable information from him.

The upcoming season will focus on the trio solving the murder of Lester, the Arconia's doorman. In the process of solving his murder, the trio will get wrapped up with the mafia, and cross paths with three suspicious billionaires. As the show enters its third season, Howard will be returning to help the trio solve the mysteries surrounding Lester's death.

Michael Cyril Creighton, who plays Howard Morris, will also be the host of the Only Murders Official Podcast. Creighton and the cast and crew of the podcast will break down each episode of season five and discuss behind-the-scenes stories.

The new cast joining Only Murders in the Building season five are Logan Lerman, Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Jermaine Fowler, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Diane West, Bobby Cannavale, and Téa Leoni.

The main cast of the show is returning for season five, including Martin Short as Oliver Putnam, Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage, Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora, Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard Morris, Jackie Hoffman as Uma Heller, Teddy Coluca as Lester, Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin, and Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Detective Donna Williams.

Only Murders in the Building season five will premiere on Hulu on 9th September 2025. The first four seasons of the show are streaming on Hulu.
