As fans all around the world are in anticipation of the final season, they're eating up any bit of information about the new season and BTS pictures released by the cast and crew. One such drop was the behind-the-scenes images uploaded by director Shawn Levy from the sets of Stranger Things Season 5.The picture captures Will, Lucas, and Mike in Mike Wheeler's basement. Mike's basement has long been the major place where all the kids came together over the seasons. The years went on, the dangers kept getting more dire, the kids kept growing up, and the gang kept getting bigger every season, but through it all, Mike's basement remained a constant.Mike's basement is one of the most emotional places for Stranger Things Season 5, because even though Mike, Lucas, and Will in the BTS image might have grown up, seeing them in the basement takes us right back to the little kids who hid little Eleven, whom they didn't even know, in there just because she was scared and they felt a duty towards protecting her.Stranger Things Season 1 (Image via Netflix)It is quite poetic that one of the final pre-release pictures we see ahead of the Stranger Things Season 5 release is of the gang in Mike's basement. In a recent conversation with Variety, Levy talked about the upcoming season and revealed exactly how big the stakes are for the creatives:"The brothers have always talked about sticking the landing; they talk about it in relation to movies. They talk about it in relation to television series. The Duffers always pointed out when something stuck the landing — and how nothing matters more than sticking the landing, whether it’s a movie, an episode, a season or a series. That’s like a North Star principle for them: You’ve gotta stick the landing."He went on to reveal that for the Duffer brothers, answering every single question in the final season was non-negotiable because they were making things for the audience, so they felt it was their duty to clarify and resolve every single thing:"We’re telling stories for other people, not for our own sort of narcissistic enjoyment. We’re making these stories for people to connect with. So answering those questions was really important, and I think they did an exceptional job. It’s why it’s a big, sweeping final season."Levy's comments about the final season, paired with the behind-the-scenes image, have only added to the excitement and anticipation of the final season's premiere.Stay tuned with Soap Central as we keep up with the final season's premiere on Netflix.
