Marvel fans, get ready-this Christmas is about to get super exciting! Disney+'s highly anticipated miniseries Wonder Man starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is set to premiere in December 2025.
The series was greenlit around three years ago in 2022. Created by the duo Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, it will delve into the life of the Marvel Comics character, Wonder Man.
Marvel Studios, Family Owned, and Onyx Collective are set to produce the eight-episode miniseries. According to reports by TVLine, filming for the series concluded by June 2025.

Does Wonder Man have a release date?
As of now, MCU's seventeenth TV series, Wonder Man, does not have a release date. However, the series is expected to drop sometime in December 2025. Marvel might release Wonder Man during the Christmas week, just in time to spice up the holiday binge list. Each episode will run around 30 minutes or so-making Wonder Man a quick and easy binge watch.
In an interview with Collider, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel executive, shared,
"I think our shortest episode is 20 something and our longest is 40 something."

What's the plot for Disney+'s Wonder Man?
Even though the plot for Disney+'s Wonder Man is still under wraps, a Marvel Studios look-ahead teaser gives us a look into the world of Simon Williams. In the sneak peek, we see Simon, a struggling actor from L.A., auditioning for a role. In one such instance, he introduces himself,
"Simon Williams reading for Wonder Man. I was born to play this character."
As Ben Kingsley's character, Trevor Slattery, replies
"We both have a lot of writing on this character. You better not mess this up."
In the 60-second sneak peek of Disney+'s 2025 shows, we got a sneak peek of some brand new footage of the upcoming Marvel series, along with The King of the Hill reboot, Alien: Earth, and more. In the 60-second we see Wonder Man conversing with Trevor Slattery, a failed artist who was abducted by the Ten Rings Organization and became a jester in Xu Wenwu's court.
In an interview with Collider, Marvel executive Brad Winderbaum said:
"Wonder Man is eight episodes. It's a new flavor for Marvel. Honestly, it is like one of my favorite things ever. I think it is the best show no one's ever seen. I'm very excited to see the audience's reaction to it."
