The penultimate episode of VisionQuest included a shout-out to a character's fate in the comics. The character under question is Lisa Molinari, played by actress Lauren Morais. If you remember, the sixth episode ended with Lisa being rendered unconscious by Jocasta's nanobots. In this week's episode, we see a mind-controlled Lisa summoning two artificial arms.

As that happens, she is seen wearing a black oversized coat, which is a reference to the magical garment called Tiboro's Coat, which Lisa wears in the comics. This coat allows Lisa to summon four extra arms and the ability to fly. However, the MCU did not include Tiboro's Coat and instead opted for a more sci-fi route.

But that hasn't stopped fans from speculating about Lisa's future in the MCU. Polygon interviewed Lauren Morais. There, the reporter asked Morais if she expected to see Lisa's wildly changing morality from the comics in the MCU. To this, Morais responded:

"I would definitely love to see her wrestle with villainy and superheroism, and what happens to her relationship to Tommy as she does that, because she's been through so much with Tommy in VisionQuest. It'd be interesting to see how she gets to that point and why she starts questioning what it all means. I think the Young Masters route is a really cool route as well. That would be sick."

Like scores of young Marvel actors, Lauren Morais looked at the source material for VisionQuest

The Polygon reporter asked the actress what kind of research she did before the cameras started rolling on the Disney+ MCU series. It seems that Lauren Morais looked at the comics as soon as she was cast in the series:

"I read the comics, which gave really good insight into her. What got me the most was the fact that she was an artist, and how she sees superheroes as almost performance art. I used that and her questioning of that. She's quite a tough cookie, but also she has an empathetic side to her."

Then, the actress went on to say that she and Tommy Maximoff's actor, Ruaridh Mollica, started rehearsing with each other to get a feel of their characters. It is after this question that Morais expressed a desire for the MCU to give her a chance to explore Lisa's complicated storyline from the comics.

For those who don't know, Lisa Molinari and her team, Young Masters, have had a history with both heroes like Tommy Maximoff/Speed and villains like Norman Osborn/Green Goblin.

VisionQuest introduces Lisa as Tommy's partner in crime in conning people but hasn't explored her villainous side yet. However, we don't know what Marvel is going to do with its TV division. Just a month ago, Marvel cancelled Daredevil: Born Again as the team was completing production on season 3. For now, the only live-action series confirmed is Zodiac.

Apart from that, Marvel has been slowly cancelling live-action MCU shows in the past few months, which is why the future of the solo Vision series remains uncertain for now.

Will Lisa appear in the MCU after the Vision show?

The Polygon interviewer asked Lauren Morais if the actress was aware of what Lisa's future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe might be after the Disney+ MCU series concludes its eight-episode run. The actress tried to keep the conversation to the project at hand, saying:

"Wow, I think we should concentrate on VisionQuest first. We've got two episodes left. We've got an amazing finale ahead. I think we've got enough going on."

Do you think that Lisa has a future in the MCU after VisionQuest?
